I have a lifetime of love for dogs!

Pet care experience

I’ve been my family’s (both direct and extended) go-to person for pet care since I was a kid. We’ve always had pets in the house, and I’ve devoted the majority of my life to learning best practices for husbandry and training. I’m experienced and knowledgeable with almost all species and needs, having owned and worked with medical needs cases, reactive/behavioral needs cases, and so many puppies! I’ve fostered many puppies, and know the in’s and out’s of those hectic first months all to well, though my heart belongs to the older guys.

Annalise is a natural dog whisperer. My dog is shy around new people and warmed right up to her. Annalise had great communication and sent lots of pictures. When I got home house looked great and my puppy was in great spirits. Will definitely be using her again in the future.

Annalise was incredible. My dog Brady is very skittish around most people, but from the moment Annalise came over to meet Brady before our stay, she established trust with Brady through her confident and caring manor. While we were away, she sent daily photos and videos of both Brady. We were able to enjoy our time away knowing that Brady was in very capable and caring hands. I would recommend her 1000%! We will definitely be using her again.

Annalise was amazing!! Rain, sleet, snow, tsunami she’s going to make it to take care of your fur babies. Highly recommend 20 out of 10. Honestly from the moment we met her to the when we text her the code to get in we didn’t bat an eye on trusting her with everything. She just has that energy of good people. She sent pictures and videos of them in the snow. The perfect amount of correspondence as well. Was able to enjoy our family trip. We will definitely be using her when she’s available.

I have many, many collars, leashes, harnesses, and misc tools to be sure your dog is getting the most out of their walks. I’m a huge fan of sniffaris, and the dogs are too! A sturdy harness with a long line lead, and you get the mental stimulation of offleash with the security to bring the dog back in even if their recall isn’t 100%! It’s also very useful for practicing recall as well. For heavy pullers or those at risk of breaking loose, I have additional tools for multiple points of contact to the leash and myself as well.

Information Annalise R. would like to know about your pet

Absolutely let me know about existing routines, your dogs favorite treats, toys, sensitive tummy’s or allergies, behavioral concerns, etc before booking! I have experience giving pills, doing insulin injections, and working with reactive/aggressive dogs.

A typical day

Most days start with breakfast in a puzzle toy, after first potty break! Feeding usually lasts about 30 min, with another 30 min cool down for digestion. Then we go for our first walk, typically quick (30min), just to make sure we got potty done and some morning zoomies out. Back at home we work on relaxation protocol if necessary, or just chill and cuddle if not. Chill time is typically 2-4hrs depending. Afternoon we head outside into a fenced area and play fetch, use the flirt pole, work on commands, focusing on getting energy out in productive ways. If a fenced area is not available, we do most the same inside as space allows. Afternoon playtime typically lasts about 1hr. Relaxation protocol resumes inside, where we chill out for another 2hrs or so. Evening wind down starts with a good long walk; typically 45min-1hr on a trail with a long line. The dog decides the pace, and gets to indulge in every scent and whimsy they want. After the walk, we do some light play and relax for 30min before dinner, again served in a puzzle toy. Between dinner and bedtime, the focus is on relaxing; relaxation protocol, some good chews, and lots of cuddles. Bedtime consists of multiple potty trips, just in case, crating dogs that require crating with blankets and a tough chew, and tucking in those that do not on their beds with a blanket. When applicable, I do also do overnight potty breaks, typically every 4hrs.
