Pet care experience
I have been surrounded by dogs since I was a kid, and the passion for them got me in 2007 to start related studies. In 2012 I obtained a degree in “Dog breeding techniques and dog training” at the University of Pisa in Italy. During my studies I started to dog sitting part-time, but once I graduated, I opened a small home boarding kennel with the help of my partner Marco, and together we took care of up to six dogs at one time. We kept running the kennel, doing dog walking and day care to owner’s place until 2016 when we decided to leave Italy and move to Edinburgh. We have both ended up having different careers, so we had to put our love for dogs aside.
Reviews
Annalisa and Marco were a great fit for Daisy and she settled well with Sydney, the lovely dog in the house. They sent me pictures and gave me thorough feedback and updates. They are very accommodating for the pick up and drop off and you can tell they love dogs! I will book with them again for sure.
Annalisa and Marco are lovely. This was a first time for my furbaby staying away from home. She loved it and had a great time! She was made to feel at home and treated like one of the family. I would thoroughly recommend - 5 star
Annalisa and Marco looked after our 4 year old Lab, Stella for over a week , while we were away. This was our first time leaving her in someone else's care for more than a day. Annalisa and Marco are both very friendly and straight away we felt we could trust them. We met at their home twice before going away on holidays. When we visited for the second time, Stella was very excited to go back and see them again. While we were away they sent us updates, photos and videos of Stella every day which reassured us she is well looked after and happy with them. When we came back, we could see Stella has built a lovely bond with Annalisa and Marco. I would wholeheartedly recommend them and we will certainly use their services in future.
From the first meeting we felt at ease with Annalisa and had no concerns or worries about leaving Brodie in her care. She was patient with him being over excited in the new surroundings and stealing slippers as well as other footwear. She was open and honest in message to us after his first night staying there about him being strange and unsettled which put us at ease appreciating her honesty. There was daily pictures and updates as well as videos of him. All of which showed him having a great time and Annalisa assured us he had settled quickly. We hadn’t said about him not liking his collar on in the house. When I said to Annalisa after seeing he had it on in one of the pictures she replied and removed it immediately. Taking everything into consideration it made us more relaxed and contributed to us being able to enjoy our holiday properly knowing he was in good safe hands. Brodie is my partners dog whom I love to bits even although he gets me into trouble all the time with his antics and ignoring my partner 😂 I have two Jack Russells whom stay with my friend when I go on holiday who is also a boarder. I tend to book holidays last minute and luckily she is always able to take my two or work something out with my son to share nights with them. If at anytime this wasnt possible I would not hestitate to have Annalisa look after them. I hope they enjoyed having Brodie as much as he obviously enjoyed being there 😊

We live in a quiet and safe neighbourhood, surrounded by several green spaces. On top of that, there is a huge park in 5 minutes walking distance. At home, your dog will share spaces and cuddles with our 12 years old Golden Retriever, Sydney. She is very well behaved, friendly, calm, and she likes to have company. We live in an area closed to the Airport (10 mins drive), which is perfect if you want to drop your dog and go catch your flight! :)

Information Annalisa M. would like to know about your pet
Let us know if your dog has any special needs or behaviours we should account for. Any special dietary requirement? Do they take any supplement or medicine? We don't have any breed preferences, but because we have an elderly dog, we prefer having calm dogs around, who are not possessive or overstimulated. Puppy are more than welcome, as Sydney knows how to handle their energy (she is very patient!). We provide spare bowls for water and food, poop bags and basic treats. Feel free to bring your own items, such as beds, towels, dog treats, toys, etc.... whatever your dog might need to feel more comfortable.
A typical day
Our day starts around 9am with the first walk, and we stay out for around 30 mins (Sydney can't walk much, but we can do separate walks if your dogs need more time). We go back home for breakfast time, and usully go out again around 4pm for another 30/45 mins that we spend in the big park. The second meal is usually around 8pm, and the last walk around 10.30pm, for just 10/15 mins. This is our schedule, but it can definetely change to accomodate your dog's need. We have a very big park close to our place, so we can bring your dog to explore the area and have a great walk. We also have a game at home that can stimulate them mentally and we can teach some basic tricks.

Availability
I am currently studying at university while working part-time, but I am always available all day on Tuesday and Wednesday, and in the afternoon of Monday and Thursday. Marco is working from home with lot of flexibility, meaning that your furry friend will never be left alone during their stay.
