Since elementary school, I was the neighborhood pet sitter and walker. From Yorkies to Great Danes, I've done it all and I've always loved the company of all animals. My family claims that's because they went to the Detroit Zoo the day before I was born...coincidence? I think not. My philosophy? My home is their home. If they're allowed on the furniture at their own homes, they're more than welcome to take a couch siesta here. If not, I have no problem enforcing the rules they're already accustomed to. We live on about 14 acres; half wooded, half field, so there's plenty of opportunity for getting all that energy out and playing to their heart's content. When your dog is here, they're an addition to the family. Lastly, for all those out there with dogs that have a hard time making friends because they're a little shy or maybe grumpy, that's not a problem here. I have spent countless hours during my college years at the local animal shelter working with dogs having those exact problems, even including overnights if necessary. Simply put, all four-legged friends are welcome.
