Pet care experience
The best birthday gift I ever received was my childhood Golden, Lily Anna. I remember obsessively learning how to take care of a puppy all in hopes to show my parents that I was ready and able to care for who would become my greatest companion. Even now, I believe that caring for our pets is one of the most special parts of being a human. I won't hit you with the "they're a small part of our lives but we're their entire life" quote (whoops, just did) because it always makes me cry but that is truly the level of commitment and care I'll have for your pet. I've cared for every stage of a dog's life and have seen the unique beauty in each stage and also have experience with resources (I have rescued a dog and know the special approach it takes with those more timid babies). Whether your dog loves to go on runs or just prefers to laze about and have belly rubs, you can rest assured that I'll take care of them almost as well as you do -- almost :)

My main objective is that your pets feel right at home. I have space to accomodate dog beds/crates and they are allowed on the furniture (if you let them on it at home). I'll uphold any standards you have at home so that your pet stays in a routine that makes them feel safe and comfortable. My yard is unfenced but if that is a problem, my next-door neighbors have offered their fenced yards for your pup to play in securely.

If your pet needs any special accommodation or has any personality quirks, I'm here for it! I just kindly ask you to communicate any of those needs ahead of time. I'm also always willing to do a meet + greet for comfort purposes :)
A typical day
I am an early riser and spend most mornings working out outside and evenings taking walks. My schedule is flexible so whatever special accomodations your pet needs, I'll be able to handle. I also live close to the lake so if your pup is a swimmer, I'm happy to walk them to the boat ramp for a dip if you're ok with it!

Availability
I work from home every day but Wednesday (my office is about a 10 minute drive away). If you'd like to book on Wednesday, I'll make sure I stay home. I'm not required by any means to go into the office so I can be home with your pet for the entirety of their stay.
