I have been around dogs my whole life. My family has always had dogs at home and are generally animal people. I have been riding horses since I was 7 which means I have had a number of barn dogs around when I was away from my own at home. Now that I am away at university I unfortuanately can’t have a dog of my own. I did adopt 2 guinea pigs, whom I love, but it’s not exactly the same. Dog walking and sitting is the next best thing until I can have a dog of my own again. I also voulenteer at the Monmouth County SPCA and am already the goto dog sitter for my friends and family. Aside from this experience, I have worked as a professional equine groom which has taught me the importance of attention to detail when careing for other people’s animals as well as providing the care and routine that the animal is used to rather than doing things the way that I would prefer.
