As with people, I appreciate diversity in dogs and love breeds of all sizes and genetic makeup. I'm respectful, especially of others' homes and family, particularly attuned to specific needs, like with senior dogs who need slower care. A former groomer's assistant, I'm experienced with reading dog body language, recognizing signals of discomfort, aggression, or anxiety. I've been trained on keeping them calm in nerve-wracking situations (like being groomed by total strangers in an unfamiliar loud space). Even after this poopy job, walking dogs still brings me so much joy. Realistically at my size of 115 lbs, the largest breed height-wise I can comfortably handle is a Wheaten Terrier, and weight-wise up to 70 lbs. (Unless we already know your big dog won't run after squirrels and jerk the leash.) I believe in returning things to people in the same--if not better--condition, so your pets and home will be in good care. I'll follow your care instructions to a T, especially with dietary restrictions. I've cared for family pets and friends' pets during their travel, most experienced with a miniature schnauzer, French bulldog, English bulldog, and Pitbull/American Bulldog mixes.
