I am a huge pet lover and in the search for my own dog right now. I have two adorable cats at home (can be separated from doggies) and a husband and roommate that love pets as well. I am attentive and affectionate, and very in-tune with needs, anxiety, and basic commands. I mostly have experience with small and medium dogs, but have the capacity at my home and yard for larger dogs. An enclosed dog park at Brentwood Park is a walk away from my house. I am active and always happy to go out for walks! I am a student journalist and freelancer, so I mostly work at home unless I am on assignment or at Portland State for classes. So my availability is varied but pretty flexible. I have been a certified nursing assistant for the last 3 years, so I have a lot of clinical experience human-wise, but generally my work has meant that I am a caring, attentive, and empathetic person. Feel free to just reach out and ask any questions. My husband Michael, who is a nursing student, and who grew up with dogs as well, will sometimes work with me with owners' permission. He's very careful about making sure doors are closed and loves to play with pets when they're visiting us. He also sometimes accompanies me on walks, especially when we're walking two or more dogs.
