I am a grad student at CSU so definitely have a busy schedule, but I love petsitting and want to continue it in my spare time. I try my best to accommodate bookings/time but house sitting (with longer breaks between potties) and flexible drop ins work best for me. This is just due to my class schedule. I also have a part time job with shifts typically 2-5 hours, and one day with summer that is 7.5.

When it comes to how I care for a pet during my visits I always read the given instructions and stick to those so the animal has as much of a normal schedule as possible. I can do whatever is needed for the animal while I am there, including specific feeding instructions, medications, going for walks, getting treats, and anything else. I love just chilling with the animal(s) and giving them all the attention and love they deserve. I am ready and able to do whatever is thrown at me!

Information Anna S. would like to know about your pet

There are a few things that I like to know about the pets before a booking to make things go smoothly. The biggest one is just all the directions for feeding, water, medication, treats, walking, etc. Having all this information to look at helps me make sure I get everything done and that the pet is properly cared for. Some other things that are good to know are if the animal doesn't like to be pet in a certain place or how they typically act and any toys that are their favorites. Important information for me to know about an animal ahead of time would be their age and weight as well as any medical issues so I know what I'm dealing with. It would also be fun to know the breed and personality or any of their favorite things.

A typical day

A typical visit for me would be checking all the pet information from the pet parent to make sure I do everything I need to. I always say hi to the animal(s) right when I walk in and give them some pets. I then make sure to feed them, and do meds if needed, as specified and check that the water is good, for cats I also check the litter box. For dogs, I'll then take them on a walk (or before feeding depending on their schedule) and try to make that the majority of the visit so they get some time outside and their energy out. For the rest of the visit I will just hangout and play with the animal. A typical house sitting stay will look a little different since I'm not restricted to 30-60 minutes. I will still make sure to read all instructions or notes left by the pet parent and just follow a typical schedule for the pet. I will feed them at their normal times, let them out when they need it and go for walks at least once a day unless specified otherwise. I try to stay at the house as much as possible but I will leave here and there to run errands or check on my own cat.

Fun and loving pet sitter

Pet care experience

I have had cats my whole life, that would be 21 years. My childhood cat lived to be 19 and I currently have a 11 year old big boy cat! I have also fostered kittens for over three years starting at the age of three weeks so I know how to bottle/syringe feed as well as give medicine. Along with fostering I have pet sat for over 6 years. Since starting Rover I have had many people come back to me asking if I can pet sit for them again.

Anna did an excellent job with our pets and was a great communicator throughout, especially when dealing with our dog’s behavioral issues. She was put in a difficult situation by our dog with stranger danger, who had a very hard time adjusting when being pet sat for the first time since losing our other dog. She was very calm and patient with him and we worked out a plan for making him more comfortable and not triggering any fear aggression. She was very accepting of our dog’s issues and met him on his terms and timeline. By the end of her stay they were buddies and reached cuddle status. We highly recommend Anna.

Anna was so reliable, kind, and amazing with our two dogs. She stayed at our house with our two large dogs, sent messages with pictures and really made being away from home easy. I usually get very anxious leaving someone with my dogs but that did not happen with Anna. She was stellar and I would absolutely book with her again. Thanks for showing our pups so much love and care!
