Pet care experience
Your pup or cat will be welcome and well cared for here! We had various pets growing up, especially dogs. My first dog was a golden retriever named Nutmeg and our family raised miniature schnauzer puppies for many years when my sisters and I were young. I've always loved animals and have helped neighbours, friends and relatives with pet sitting over the years. After we moved to Winnipeg, our family adopted an older cat through the Humane Society's Care to Adopt program. I am comfortable with all breeds and happy to host puppies and kittens as well. Also able to give medication and accommodate special needs.

We have left Coco with Anna twice now and it has been an amazing experience. Anna’s profile very clearly states what she offers and she is very receptive to any instructions. Anna goes above and beyond, communicates and sends pictures so frequently and Coco comes home happy. It’s clear from her profile that she has other animals at times and she was extremely good at managing the interactions and had backup plans. We had full confidence in her and this experience was good for Coco. We will not hesitate to rebook with Anna again.
Anna was so loving with our sweet dogs while we went away on vacation. She took amazing care of them! We got an update every day with beautiful pictures. I felt at ease leaving my dogs with her, we will definitely book with her again!

Your friend will have free range of our home downstairs and they are welcome on the couch/furniture. We have a fully fenced backyard and live right across from a park with a big field so there will be plenty of opportunities for exercise, outside time and walks! We are flexible with our space and able to adapt to your pet's usual sleeping arrangement whether crate trained or not. If you prefer to keep your dog or cat separate from ours, that is not a problem. Violet is able to be inside or outside, and we can also partition off her room as needed.

Let me know if your dog or cat has any special needs or behaviours. We want them to feel as safe and comfortable here as they would at home. The more I know about temperament, triggers, preferences, and their usual routine the better we can accommodate.
A typical day
We have a fully fenced backyard with plenty of room to run and play. We spend a lot of time outside in the warmer months, and walk everywhere. We live across the street from a park with a big field that is great to run around, especially for pups with loads of energy. :) Feel free to bring any special toys from home!

I'm currently home with my boys (ages 6 and 2) so will have lots of time to care for and play with your pet! Able to accommodate their schedule and routines. We have a very calm, elderly cat named Violet who is mostly outside in the warmer months. Our boys are very comfortable with animals, my little one loves to help feed Vi every day and give our guests cuddles and treats. :)
