Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Anna and I am a business student at IUPUI with a very flexible schedule. I recently moved to Indiana from Charleston, SC! I have grown up with dogs and have always had a love for animals, specifically dogs and cats. I am Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid certified. I have experience giving oral medication to dogs and cats, administering insulin to diabetic dogs, applying topical medications to dogs and cats, and experience caring for young puppies and older dogs. If you have a dog with any other special needs I am more than happy to accommodate them. Whether you would like your to dog stay at my house or if he/she is more comfortable at home, I am more than happy to accommodate whatever is most ideal for you both. My class schedule throughout the day is very flexible for drop-in visits I can do in-home overnights as well. I will go above and beyond to make your pet as happy as possible! You can trust that I will love your pet and take care of your home as if they were my own. :)

I have a large yard and two of my own dogs to keep your pup company! My house is roomy and comfortable with plenty of space for dogs to run around and a really nice sun porch on the back-my animals love it! My yard is not fenced, but I do have a post in the ground with a very long leash on it for going outside. If that doesn't work for your dog, I totally don't mind going outside with them every time to potty! I also live right next to the Monon, so if your dog needs frequent and/or long walks I am happy to take them there or around the neighborhood.

I do not have any breed preferences, as I love dogs of all shapes and sizes! Before sitting for your pup, it would be helpful to know about their general temperament, any special needs, dietary restrictions, and what their favorite activities, toys, and treats are! :) For overnight care I prefer to have a meet and greet first.
A typical day
If your doggie is not on a walk with me, he or she will likely be playing in my large backyard or cooling off in our doggie pool when it’s warm out. I live right next to the Monon and in a very dog-friendly and safe neighborhood so plenty of places to walk right nearby! :) am more than happy to accommodate high-energy pups by taking them for walks throughout the day, bringing them to the dog park, or hanging out at dog friendly places with them. I also have plenty of toys, including puzzle toys, to keep your dog intellectually-stimulated in addition to any physical exercise he may need. If your dog is more of the snoozy type, lots of love, relaxation, and snuggles are always a part of our day. I have a lot of experience with training my own dogs and believe in positive-reinforcement when caring for a dog.

I am not in school this semester, so as of right now I am solely doing pet care! I have a lot of time to devote to spending time with your animals, whether at home or taking them on a fun outing! :)
