Pet care experience
As a PhD student, I enjoy very flexible and open availability, which means that I can spend time with your dog when it is most convenient for you! Formally, I do not have much dog sitting experience, but I've grown up with and taken care of dogs for most of my life, so I'm extremely familiar with walks, bathroom breaks, and bedtime rituals, and am comfortable with a variety of dog breeds and ages. It's unfortunately not possible for me to own a dog right now, so I welcome the opportunity to take care of your pets! I first asked Anna to care for my small cocker-spaniel, Inky, when I had to go out of town. She did an incredible job! Initially, I was concerned because Inky can be a flighty dog and is slow to trust, but he and Anna bonded almost instantly.

I do not have any breed preferences, but it's generally helpful to know if your dog has any particular habits or needs I have to look out for--if they're afraid of stairs, how often they usually need to go to the bathroom, dietary restrictions, how active they like to be, etc.
A typical day
Although I only moved to Riverside last year, I've really grown familiar with the local walking spots. Depending on where you and your dog live, I would be excited to check out new trails that seem best suited for your dog's preferences and level of activity. Alternatively, we can have a slightly lazier time--nothing wrong with Netflix and chill!
