Anna can care for
Availability
Due to my own responsibilities and schedule, I am not able to stay at your house full-time during a sit. This means I can stay throughout the day, 8am to 8pm with 1 break of up to 3 hours OR overnight with 1-2 visits throughout the day for meals and exercise, etc. If you are looking for someone who can be with your pets all day and overnight, kindly seek another sitter who can better fit your needs. :) I work full-time as a teacher and have my own family, so I cannot provide around-the-clock care for your pet. I can drop in for walks, mealtimes, and check-ins, but I cannot stay full-time in your home while you are away. Please message me if you are curious about how we can work out an appropriate agreement for house-sitting that will meet yours and your pet's needs. Thanks!

I pay close attention to my own pets at home and do whatever is needed to ensure they are the happiest and healthiest they can be. My Australian Shepherd Mix dog, Willow, who is 4 years old, requires daily oral medications, obedience training, and daily walks or runs due to her energy level. I have adjusted my own schedule and lifestyle to make sure she gets what she needs every day. I have trained with her extensively and have experience with anxious, high-energy, and reactive dogs. I know the body language to look out for given my experience with my own dog, Willow, and know what to do to help an anxious dog feel safe. I have also cared for my own cat, Fig, since we adopted him at 4 months old. He has Irritable Bowel Disease, which means we have to administer daily oral medications and feed him Hydrolized food that is easier for him to digest. I have since learned which signs to look out for relating to cat health such as changes in behavior, bowel movements, and eating habits. Overall, I am an extremely attentive, empathetic animal lover who would consider it a privilege to look after your pets as if they were my own.
Information Anna N. would like to know about your pet
Preference is given for dog sitting requests that require walks to dogs who are leash trained. Please provide a written or digital list of all care instructions and relevant home care details for me in advance of the booking. Please inform me of as much of the following as possible before our booking: daily routines, dietary needs, exercise routine, behavioral needs (history of reactivity, triggers, special requests), medications, and history/experience with other animals and people. A reminder message the day before or the day of a booking about how to gain access to your home (such as a key code) and basic procedures upon arrival is really helpful. The more detail you can provide about how I can make your pet feel as happy and comfortable as possible the better!
A typical day
I love to play with pets as much as I love caring for them! Aside from the basics such as feeding, exercise, and bathroom breaks, I love enriching pets' lives in other ways. I enjoy walking dogs (or even jogging with them if that is approved by the owner!) and playing simple training games with dogs. I've trained my own dog to do tricks such as spin, give high fives, touch my hand, and even put away her own toys. I would love to teach your dog a new trick or two if that would be desired, as it can benefit their social and mental development. I love puppies with all their energy and mischief and would enjoy being a part of keeping your puppy's obedience skills sharp, teaching them to loose-leash walk, or maintaining potty training regimens. I also love to play with cats whether with wand toys, kickers, or tunnels.

Pet care experience
**For house-sitting requests, please read my availability disclaimer before requesting a booking!** Having grown up on a pig farm, I've always been close to animals. I have dog and cat sat for friends, making house visits to care for them or hosting them in my own home. I attend to every detail provided as every pet is unique and their comfort is most important, especially when their favorite people are away. I am detail-oriented, responsive, and dedicated to your pet's happiness and safety.

Reviews

Anna is wonderful with our two very big, energetic dogs! She is very flexible and gives tons of updates and pictures. This helps ease my mind when we are away. Wonderful job every time!

Anna is a 10/10 dog sitter!! She’s very responsive to messages and goes above and beyond to make sure the dogs are taken care of and having fun. She has become an essential part of any trip we take, we know we can count on her to take care of our big dogs and check in on the house.

Can’t think of anything to say I have not all ready said in previous reviews. Anna is absolutely the best!

I am so HAPPY with Anna's stay with my two very energetic dogs. She had fantastic communication and was willing to change the schedule based on my dog's needs. I was so grateful for all the pictures too- you could tell how happy they were!
