Pet care experience
I’m originally from Mississippi. I’ve grown up with dogs and cats all my life. I’m a huge animal lover, and have experience with cats, dogs, horses, fish, parrots, and chickens. I moved from California to Virginia to attend grad school at Hollins University. I’m no longer in school and work part-time at a library. In California, I was a hospice caretaker for a 21 year old dog with cancer. I know how to give medicine as well as cook for your pet’s special dietary needs if necessary. I’m a super active person so I don’t mind going on long walks with your dog. I enjoy the exercise! I have experience with a wide range of breeds and even have experience with coyotes! I can give cats insulin as well. Whatever your pet needs, I can provide.

Annalee took such good care of my Frenchie. She sent lots of updates and pictures which helped ease my mind and allow me to enjoy my trip. She helped me out last minute and was so kind and accommodating. My doggie can’t wait to hang out with her again!!

Anna did a great job caring for our animals and home. She provided daily photos and updates, and followed all instructions we provided. I was able to have a stress free trip knowing my pets were being cared for while I was away!
There just aren't enough stars to rate Anna Lee. Our pets absolutely loved her and we couldn't be happier with the care she gave to our pets. We received pictures of our babies and updates daily so we could enjoy our getaway and not worry about leaving our pets at home. We would definitely have Anna Lee care for our pets again.

I would like to know if they have any special dietary needs, medications, or really anything special regarding your sweet pet. If you have a dog, I would like to know if they get along with other dogs so I can know whether or not to take them to the dog park.
A typical day
Of course number one with dogs is giving them plenty of exercise. I’m an avid hiker so if you’re comfortable with it, I would love to take your dogs on hikes or even just a long walk down the greenway. Whatever you’re comfortable with though. If you have a neighborhood that’s safe to walk around, that’s another option for exercise.

Availability
I work 8am to 1pm Mon-Fri at the library at the Higher Education Center. Early mornings, afternoons, and weekends are free to take care of your pets. I also get every holiday off.
