When my husband and I bought our first home, we knew we wanted fill it with animals and give them the best life possible because caring for them gives us so much fulfillment. Dogs have always been my favorite. I have experience caring for many different breeds, small and large. I also have experience with pet sitting, house sitting, boarding in my own home and doggy daycare. » D O G W A L K I N G « Walks provide mental stimulation, helping your dog build confidence and avoid potential behavioral issues like anxiety and aggression. Like a child, your dog wants to know the world. I know that life can get busy sometimes so I am more than happy to help you check this item off of your to-do list. I am currently looking to book dog walks for clients within the southern portion of the 49464 zip code. I would love to get on a consistent walking schedule with clients and serve as many families near home as I can. I prefer to be booked at least a day in advance for walks so I can plan ahead. » D R O P - I N V I S I T S « If you are looking to book with me while you are away from the house, I am able to pop in and take care of anything you need. This is a great option for a midday dog walk while you are at work. If you request this service, please first book me for a walk while you are home so that you can show me where your dog is kept and anything else you need me to do during this time (i.e. feeding your pets, taking them to go potty, scooping litter boxes, tidying up, etc.) » H O U S E S I T T I N G « I can drop-in at your house to take care of any of your household needs (i.e. bringing in the mail, watering the plants, etc.) but I cannot stay in your home because I have pets of my own to look after. If you would like me to take care of any household needs while you are away, please book me for a drop-in visit. » B O A R D I N G « My husband and I have three Jack Russell Terriers and we have temporarily taken in my brother’s two Saint Bernard puppies. We also have three cats. All of our pets are very friendly and well behaved. To respect the space of our cats we dedicate upstairs to the dogs and downstairs to the cats and this has worked very well for us. All dogs are fed in separate spaces. Our yard is not fenced so they will stay on leash over here. If your pet is more timid, we have an empty room downstairs away from all the animals where we can set up its things to make it feel like home, while of course taking them out on daily walks and offering interactive playtime and potty breaks away from the others. Rest assured, they will receive lots of love and attention with me. The safety of my animals is incredibly important to me, so if your pet is not comfortable around other animals, please disclose this information to ensure the safety of all. If you are unsure about how your dog will behave around mine, I suggest doing a trial run for a day in my home. I recommend Doggy Daycare as opposed to a Meet & Greet. Daycare is a great opportunity to introduce one dog at a time and avoid the overwhelm of meeting all the dogs at once in an unfamiliar environment. We want to make sure your dog feels comfortable with their surroundings and new friends and introduce all of this over the span of a day at a pace that feels safe to them. This is the best way to test things out so you can feel 100% comfortable leaving your pet with me while you are away. » D O G G Y D A Y C A R E « Please read the above section on boarding to answer any questions about the animals in my home. My dogs are trained to respect the space of other animals and be very gentle. I care for animals full-time so when they are out and about, they are under constant supervision. Socializing dogs helps them develop good manners and similar to daily walks, social dogs are less likely to exhibit behavioral issues like anxiety and aggression. So if you and your dog are comfortable, I would be happy to supervise playtime and add them to our daily routine. Our routine includes designated meal times, walks (weather permitting) and playtime. All dogs are fed in separate spaces. We do potty breaks as often as needed. In my home, we utilize playpens for bed time and an after walk nap while I am walking another dog. I have pet cameras that show me a live feed of what’s going on if I am away on a dog walk. My dogs love this time to rest and relax in their own space after getting some exercise. (Cameras are for my personal use only.) Other than that, the dogs are always out and about playing or lounging around. I would of course follow any specific care instructions and keep you updated with pictures and messages while you are away.
