Pet care experience
I have been caring for furry friends and the like since I was about seven. I grew up caring for goats, chickens, reptiles, kitens, cats, dogs, frogs, birds, you name it! No I did not grow up on a farm, but grew up in a home with an expansive yard, and parents who loved animals. I grew up with dogs, all my life. I also raised two seeing eye dogs for Guide Dogs For the Blind through high school, which was a formative experience in my young life. Taking care of animals has always been an important part of my existence, and I believe this played an important role in developing the compassion I carry forth, as well my love of service and care taking. For the record I am also in love with kitties, and have one of my own :) I call him Wolfgang. I consider myself an empathic person who is sensitive to the needs of others. I am also passionate about the healing arts and have worked in social services since I was 18. I honor the trust it takes for someone to allow me to care for their beloved animal, and do not take that lightly. I will take the time to make sure you are feeling comfortable and heard regarding your pets needs, and will give intentional space and focus for any individualized care instructions. I look forward to meeting your furbaby :) I work as a therapist in schools for children, and have the summer open so this month I am open all days a week, all hours, which makes me a very flexible and responsive pet caretaker :) I am available for dog walking, dog sitting in your home, drop in visits, house sitting duties in addition to caring for your animal, and I accept and adore kitties too!
Reviews
She was great. My puppy loved her. She was on time, communicated well and was super sweet to my dog!
Anna was such an immense help while I rehabbed my broken foot. She did a great job in working with Angus and making sure he didn't just get out for a bit, but also enjoyed himself in the process. Highly recommended.
Anna's great. She did a fantastic job in establishing a rapport with Angus. Highly recommended!
Anna is my dog's new favorite person! He enjoyed long walks and swimming trips - and I enjoyed the daily pics and thoughtful updates. Anna clearly has great experience and chemistry with dogs, and asked great questions about personalized care for while I was away. It really felt like leaving him with a friend. She was respectful to my apartment and left the place spotless and my dog freshly washed. Will certainly be booking again in the future.

Information Anna L. would like to know about your pet
Please feel comfortable letting me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that would be helpful to know about. I want your furbaby to feel at as much ease as possible. I'm open to hearing any commands/training points you may be working on, and anything that would help your pet feel a sense of continuity and understanding. It is helpful to review if you are comfortable with dog going off leash in a designated area (dog park at tabor etc,) touch base on how doggo does saying hi to other dogs or people, and any other special preferences. I like everyone to feel safe and comfortable as I honor the trust it takes to allow someone new to care for your loved one.
A typical day
I'll take my time getting to know you and your furry friend and ask a lot of questions about your dog or cat's unique needs. I like to take my time with meet and greets, especially before overnight stays. I have a gentle and calm demeanor and approach to both people and animals. I foster meaningful connections by being a mindful and present person. I love to take long strolls to green spaces with doggos, such as tabor, laurelhurst, grant park, peninsula park etc... and am fine to meander in the neighborhood as well. Whatever feels familiar and comfortable for your pup. You're dog will get lots of exercise and fresh air with me, as a bonafide nature-lover and tree-hugger. I love playtime, and would love to learn what games mean the most to your pet! Oh and cuddles and snuggle time is a given!
