Pet care experience
NOTE: I have since moved to a two story apartment with a large private rooftop that extends from my living room that includes outdoor bathroom access. Most current photos on my profile are from my previous home and I’m starting things back up here in my home in pioneer square. Dogs have been my life since I was a kid. I started off working in dog daycares and boarding facilities where I learned pack management and all aspects of dog behavior and safety. Later I started working in the dog grooming industry which I still do today from time to time and enjoy very much. For the past 6 years (but not currently) I’ve been a foster parent for rescue dogs on death row. Dozens of dogs were adopted out of my previous home so needless to say I’ve done a lot of training with all type of dogs and different types of behaviors. Currently and over past 6 years have been working in a Veterinary clinic where I participate in the medical needs of cats and dogs as well as working in physical therapy with disabled dogs. Insuring dogs happiness and safety is my number one priority. I typically have 2-4 dogs in my home at a time so your pup will always have a fury friend to engage with. For safety reasons dogs are fed separately and when I do have to leave my home, all dogs are crated separately with plenty of soft bedding and access to fresh water. I do work 4 days a week at a vet clinic 2 miles from my home during the day. I urge that you are aware of this as often people are looking for someone who is home around the clock. My own dogs live with the same schedule as your dogs would and it has worked well for us for many years. However on a typical day I have dogs running in and out from the from the patio, wrestling and playing chase while others choose to nap on the couches or dog beds. I always promote dogs to play and get their energy out but also play my part in making sure no dog is pushing buttons. I welcome younger well behaved dogs but also love my seniors and can manage all sorts of energy levels and personalities. The main deal breaker for me as a sitter is I can not take on dogs who are overly vocal or struggle with abnormal levels of separation anxiety as I need to be mindful of my neighbors.
Reviews
Very communicative during my dog’s stay and provided a good summary of his day. Would come back!
Anna was great! Quick to communicate, very experienced with dogs, nice light and bright house with pup friends — I will definitely contact her again!
Amazing experience. My dog loved her time here, she got to make friends, and I got the cutest update photos and videos!
Anna was amazing! I was a little nervous because there were multiple other dogs staying there over the 4th of July weekend but Anna clearly knows what she’s doing because Mookie had the best time ever! It was so fun to see her socializing with other dogs. Clear communication, easy drop-off / pick-up and great video/ photo updates! We will definitely be booking with her again!!!!

Dogs are monitored during play and while engaging with each other. I’m selective with what dogs get to play with toys for safety reasons and when away from home or during feedings, pets are kenneled separately.

I ask that your dog: -Does well with all dogs of all ages and sizes -Up to date on vaccines -On a monthly flea prevention -Can be crated without separation anxiety/destructive behavior -Over all if you have a high anxiety dog I do ask for you to look elsewhere. From experience dogs with high levels of anxiety can effect the entire pack. -Barking if left alone. (I do have to be able to leave home if needed without concerns of dogs barking and frustrating the neighbors) - although I have a extensive history working with dogs and different behaviors I will be avoiding taking on dogs that are newly adopted (still adjusting or you may not know them well) and generally dogs in need of training beyond average dog antics.
A typical day
Typical day includes sun bathing, playing with others and cuddling up on the couch. My patio has a “porch potty” system so dogs can relieve themselves as needed but I’m happy to give others walks as needed.

I work four days a week at a vet clinic two miles from my home. Most days I stop by on my lunch break to tend to boarding dogs as well as my own dogs. This schedule has worked well for me and my dogs for many years but if you are looking for someone who works from home I urge you to explore other options. Otherwise my life revolves around the dogs and I like to think we have a lot of fun sunbathing, playing and napping with the others.
