Pet care experience
Dogs have always been an essential element of our family, which is how I've learned to treat and care for them as such. Chelsea, our family’s rusty old golden retriever, cared for me & my brothers, who, as toddlers, were learning to be gentle with pets. We had Norman, a slobbery hunting Labrador, and Lucy, the miniature dachshund who was always cold but loved cuddling up in my wool sweaters. Jake the dog was the sweetest boy who hated thunderstorms, had stomach problems, but was quick to comfort others when they were sad. ZuZu is our family's dog now, but she lives solely and loyally at my mom's side. I've learned to care for and consider the varying needs and characters of dogs – and gosh do I adore them all! I would love to care for your dog while you're away, aiming to keep your mind at ease knowing he/she is in good hands. :)

I happened to be working from home today when Anna came take my dog for his lunchtime walk. I was in the other room, but it was clear that he was so excited to see her! He loves his walks with Anna!!!

It’s so apparent that Koda feels at home and comfortable when she’s staying with Anna! Koda stayed with her when we were getting married, and it was a relief knowing she was well cared for during that time. Anna sends daily pictures and updates, which my wife and I love receiving! We highly recommend Anna as a dog sitter, and we know Koda would love to stay with her again!
Wonderful with our two dogs who are more anxious. Sent updates daily and great pics!

Play and exercise will be integral and organic to your dog’s stay. We have a fenced-in backyard with a family of squirrels that always keeps the pups entertained, and as an avid walker and runner myself, I'll be tempted to play with your pooch for as long as he/she can keep up! :) I'm also a big cuddler and a sucker for a good book with the goodest dog by my side! Ultimately, I'll always ask for an idea of the specific structure/schedule your dog needs to feel comfortable and cared for.

One of my main goals as your dogsitter will be to maintain your dogs' schedules and ensure consistency while you're away. I'm always hoping to understand what they're used to - when they get fed and taken out, where their favorite walk spots are, and whether they call it "piddle," or "potty." :) All the details matter to me! I also look to understand their character as much as I can. When do their ears go back, and what helps them calm down? How are they motivated or rewarded? I want your dog to feel safe and at ease as much as possible.
A typical day
Possibly just like your dog, my ears will perk up at the mention of a Walk. Whether it's a brisk trot in negative-degree weather, or an easy stroll when it's warm enough to wander, I love being out and about with your pooch. I also love offering a good collar-less scratch after a long day of play. I try to calm, soothe and care for even the most excited doggie! Relaxing and winding down will always be an attempted aspect to my dog care.
