Dog Lovers Who Sit and Stay!
Pet care experience
You're on vacation, your pup should be, too. We may not have a spa here in my Rose Garden home, but we've got all the essentials to make this a doggie retreat! We've got a large backyard with lots to sniff, dirt to dig, and mud to roll around in. We live near lots of great pet-walking areas, and there's a dog park about 1 block from here. If your dog is a good co-pilot, we'll be taking them to run errands around town, or down to the local coffee shop to just hang out. We have plenty of extra dog toys, and lots of love and cuddles for your pooch or pooches. We regularly sit large and small dogs, ranging in temperament from hyper GSPs, needing 5 walks a day, to an alpha Golden needing only 1 walk a day (but HIS way), to a Miniature Schnauzer who really can't figure out this whole leash business, but really wants to meet the neighbors! We have plenty of references, and only take dogs in our home. We have a large car for transport if needed. WE ONLY TAKE ONE POOCH AT A TIME (unless they come together) - we want to make sure your pup gets the very best! We joined Rover.com for some extra income, and because we're getting ready for a pooch of our very own. Why we love dog sitting We grew up with dogs, and we swear, we never-ever fed them under the table. Honestly Mom, we really ate all those peas. As adults, we typically greet a dog before we greet its human, which some people take offense to, but probably not you, since you're here looking for a great Rover sitter! About our yard Large, fenced-in yard. We've got grass for laying in, a freshly-planted garden to protect, a gaggle of neighborhood squirrels, and lots of dirt that needs digging. We should also let you know that dogs don't go outside without being supervised. Our experience administering medication Not a problem! We take our own pills wrapped in peanut butter, and have experience with shots as well. We have an Instagram. Seriously. Find us @sitsandstays

Anna took amazing care of my boy! She gave us daily updates about his day and sent us pictures of him having fun. I would definitely recommend Anna and know she will take great care of your pet like she did ours.
This was our first time using Rover and we were a little nervous. After meeting Anna and Mike, we knew our dog was in the right hands. They took great care of our senior dog. We received lots of updates while we were away.
Anna is wonderful! Sent me daily updates and pictures when I was away. Highly recommend!
Sadie came home from Anna’s happy, well fed and tired, the way a well treated energetic dog is meant to be! She was cared for like part of the family. Anna was great at sending daily updates and pics. We will not hesitate for one minute to rebook another stay.

Information Anna B. would like to know about your pet
We already love your dog. Really. And, we'll put up all our delicous, chewable shoes, so we're good there. We'll even take your special needs pup. Here's some more you'd like to know (especially about Rover): We take one dog or pair of dogs at a time. That way, your dog gets the most attention. Rover.com charges us 25% of the listing price, in case you were curious. Many sitters take the maximum amount of dogs to compensate for this fee, but we personally feel that this would diminish our ability to love and care for your dog. Plus, think of all the poop! We are probably farther down in your search. Rover's algorithm rewards sitters who do lots of activity through their website, and this favors sitters who take multiple dogs, or who take every dog that comes along. We do not take every dog (though we'd really like to). We want to make sure that your dog is comfortable, you the owner are comfortable, and that we the sitters are comfortable with your dog. Usually, this all works out, but sometimes we meet dogs who we know aren't going to be happy here. Because of this, we also don't take new dogs for last minute stays (typically less that 72 hours). We find that we have more successful Sits and Stays when everyone has time to meet and get a feel for the situation. If you as the owner are trying to find a sitter last-minute, you may not have time to make other arrangements, and we don't want to put you in a situation where the only option is something that not everyone is comfortable with.

Here's where we'll take our walks What does your dog prefer? Short walks? Lots of dog smells? Lots of dogs? Lots of nature? I do short walks around the neighborhood and rose garden (lots of things to sniff), I regularly take dogs to the Campbell dog park (which is sure to be busy any time of day), and if they like the woods, I'm often up in the Saratoga Hills. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I'd love if you brought over your pup's bed. It gives them a space that they know is theirs. If your pup isn't too curious, he'll have the run of the house at night. If he prefers outdoors, he's welcome to it. I also have a cozy kitchen or indoor porch area. Time I'll spend with your dog I'm working from home right now, so we've got all day.
