Pet care experience
Hello everyone, My name is Anna and I have been caring for my own pets and the pets of friends and family now for as long as I've been able to walk. My greatest joy in life was spending time with my two dogs and it would give me great pleasure to help others take care of their dogs as well. My husband and I live in a pet-friendly suite in South Vancouver, nice and close to dog-friendly parks. At our home, dogs have free reign unless we go out briefly in which case access to our bedroom is closed off. Our home is mostly hardwood but because we like comfort and warmth, there are carpets, pillows and blankets all over the place for our furry friends to enjoy. Because of the size of our home we can only accept one dog at a time, however, are very willing to travel to others home's if that means being able to watch more than one dog. My husband and I are in and out during the week for work but we don't like to leave pets alone for very long so we stagger our day to ensure they are cared for to our standards. My husband and I like to meet new people and we’re very open, honest and accommodating individuals. We hope that through this opportunity we get to share our love of animals with other pet owners in the Vancouver area.

I’m an affectionate person with pets, and I believe in soft, but firm direction (as a way to build trust and offer safety). I will always put the needs of pets first and arrange my day accordingly. I’m quite vigilant, as someone whose had plenty of experience with rescue dogs in-past, so I am always scanning the environment for threats to provide maximum safety for all pets! I like to only board one dog at a time, so I may focus my attention fully to that pet.

I like to know what your pet can/can not eat, what their preference for sleeping is, how they are off-leash and what stress triggers they are sensitive to.
A typical day
One of my favourite things to do with pets, is go to the local beach (Iona) and play in the water/sand. If it’s not the nicest day, then a local walk around the golf course, followed by cuddling on the couch is always my first go-to.

Availability
I currently work full-time Monday - Friday, but live down the road from work so I can spend my lunch hour with pets. We believe in 3-4 walks per day, starting with first thing in the morning and right before bed. Fully available on weekends to take pets out for longer walks around the local golf course or to the beach for some fun in the sand.
