All breeds welcome!

Pet care experience

True Dog Lady and proud of it! I’ve been dog-sitting up to six dogs at a time of all breeds and sizes for more than 18 years. I volunteer at Missouri Pit Bull Rescue in Kansas City doing promo, but worked in the shelter for six months before moving to Dallas. There I picked up a lot of new tips and tricks - including clicker training if that’s something you use or are interested in! I have a 13-year-old pit bull mix, Emerson, who has my heart, but I always have room for more loving! Emerson stays at home while I’m house-sitting unless he and the dogs I am watching have met before, are compatible, & of course him staying over is approved by the parents. He’s a very low-maintenance old man :) He gets along best with females and dogs who are smaller than he is. I am extremely caring, dependable, flexible, and committed. Special needs or routines are no problem. I will always treat your pet(s) just as I do my own.

Ann did an outstanding job of taking care of my dogs and house sitting! She provided daily updates of how they were doing, while still being respectful of my time away. She followed all the instructions I left for her (all 9 pages of instructions) while I was out of town. She was very clean and respectful of my house. The house was exactly how I left it. I would definitely ask her to house sit and take care of my dogs again!

We had Ann stay at our house a few days watching our two older and special needs dogs. Her communication was great giving us pics and updates! Both dogs had bellies in the air so the must have been comfortable with her! The house looked great and the pups happy. Will ask her to sit again.

Ann is awesome! Her apt is right next to a big park with trails and has a backyard so the doggies can enjoy walks and being out in the sun. She kept us updated daily with pictures and Emerson is just a sweet boy that go along with our dog. We also had to extend our stay by 1 extra night due to our flight delay and Ann was super accommodating. We'd definitely recommend!

Safety, trust & environment

It’s my belief that dogs deal with their family’s absence best when they can stay in their own home. Familiar surroundings & limited change to routine helps with the separation anxiety that can occur. I will always request to meet your dogs before providing my services so I can get to know them - likes, dislikes, behaviors, triggers, etc.

Information Ann W. would like to know about your pet

I love all breeds! BSL and/or breed restrictions should be outright banned in my opinion. However, I understand that not all dogs will like each other - we as humans don’t! So if your kids and mine will be co-habitating and aren’t feeling each other, I can easily keep them separated. Just let me know ahead of time about any behavioral things I should watch for (food agression, leash reactivity, etc.)!

A typical day

I can adjust to your dog’s needs, whether they are low-energy and prefer to hang out on the couch, or are very playful and need lots of exercise. I am happy to work commands/training with them, or just relax and snuggle. I have experience with dogs of all different temperaments and needs.
