Pet care experience
Law student available for daily check-ins, dog walks, and overnight sitting at your apartment or house. I have upwards of 10 years experience caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, and energy levels. I also currently have a very spoiled, long-haired cat. I would love to give you some peace of mind by caring for your fur baby(ies) while you are working or traveling! *PLEASE NOTE* If you book me for overnight house sitting that lasts longer than 24 hours, I will need to leave your pet(s) alone for a few hours so I can go check on my own kitten.
Reviews
Ann did a great job with our two cats! Lots of pictures and detailed visit summaries that we really appreciated. Thanks Ann!
Ann was super helpful and communicative. The dogs looked so HAPPY in every photo she sent of them. It was such a relief to have someone reliable to play with them while we were out of town.
Ann is the most incredible cat sitter we have ever had on Rover. She is communicative, patient, and sends the best updates and pictures. This last trip, one of our cats got sick and Ann made us aware right away and kept in constant communication with us while we figured out what was happening. She made us feel so comfortable and we knew that he was in good hands while we were away. I wish I could give her more than five stars!
Ann did a wonderful job taking care of my 2 cats. She provided detailed notes and pictures from her visits. She was able to manage their medications, food, water, and litter robot. I’m so glad our cats were in good hands while I was gone.

I value taking the time to learn about your pet’s individual needs and daily habits. If you take them for a mile long walk every day, then I will do the same. If you spend ten minutes running the laser pointer around every day, then I will do the same. I also value taking the time to learn about the rules and training you have implemented with your pet, so I can continue enforcing the good habits you have worked hard to instill. If your dog is trained to heel while walking, then I will have them heel during walks. If your dog is trained to sit and wait before being released for dinner, then I will do the same.
Information Ann V. would like to know about your pet
For all pets, please let me know whether they have any dietary restrictions, whether they are on a highly specific feeding schedule, whether there are any allergies I need to be aware of, and whether there are any medications they may need. Oh, and of course, please let me know what their favorite toy is! For dogs specifically, please let me know how they interact with other animals we may encounter on a walk (e.g., Do they chase squirrels they see running across the path? Do I need to cross the road if a dog is coming towards us on the same side?) Please also let me know specific details about how your dog is trained, both in the house and outside. (e.g., Are they allowed on furniture? Are they supposed to heel on walks?) Last, if your dog is prone to have accidents when they get excited, please let me know. I will do my best to get them outside immediately upon arrival for check-ins to prevent accidents inside. For cats specifically, please let me know if your cat is an escape artist (i.e., enjoys trying to run out the door when it opens). My cat used to specialize in this particular hobby, so I am experienced in thwarting escape plots; I just need to know that they are coming.
A typical day
I thoroughly enjoy taking high- and medium-energy dogs for long walks, even if it is a frozen tundra outside. I am also happy to take low energy dogs for walks if that is within your practice. We can take walks as short and slow as needed, even if that means stopping every six feet to smell a new patch of grass (or snow). I am also happy to toss a ball around in the yard. For cats, I am more than happy to spend time operating the laser pointer or wand toy while your cat attempts to break the world record for fastest reaction or highest jump. Last, whether your pet is a dog or cat, I promise lots of snuggles and adorable pet photos.

Availability
I am currently in my second year of law school, so I have lots of time to care for your pets, particularly on weekends and over holidays. Though my calendar often only lists weekend availability for house-sitting, please reach out to me if you want to discuss weekday availability. I am often able to house sit during the week, with an understanding that I sometimes will not be able to check-in between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M., depending on my class schedule. I'm always happy to chat and see if we can find a schedule that works for everyone!
