Pet care experience
My husband and I have rescued 3 dogs and have trained them and looked after them through health and sickness for the last 12 years. We're also experienced in looking after parrots, having had 4 of our own over the years. We wish we could adopt more dogs, but thought dog-sitting would be an easier way to access more dogs in our lives.

Ann and Thai were great hosts. We completed a meet and greet before Ryder stayed with them for 6 days. During his stay, we received photos and updates everyday. They had great communication, and we will definitely use them again!

We both work from home, and have generally flexible schedule for daily daycare, take your dog for a walk, or board them if you'll be away. If your dog is into chill vibes, let them come hang with us and our pack. If it's your first time staying with us, it'll be just your pup and ours to avoid any issues. Otherwise we will only ever have 2 guest household of dogs total at the most to make sure every dog's personality gets along. Let me know your dog's personality, temperament, and triggers as our dogs safety and health are our first priority. Are they well potty trained and food motivated, reactive on a leash? Have they had other issues with rover sitters in the past? Let's do a meet and greet first to figure it out!
A typical day
We work from home, so can take breaks as our schedule allows. Will take the dogs on individual walks around the neighborhood - no dog parks as it's so unpredictable there. We likely won't have time to take them on any high activity runs or hikes.

Availability
Our two dogs are mellow and well-behaved through firm and consistent training. One has separation anxiety, so she's always with us or in the car where the anxiety doesn't seem to be an issue. We alternate between hand feeding and feeding them in a blanket snuffle mat. Hand feeding helps to build a bond, and the snuffle mat makes them work for their food because they have to use their sense of smell to find food. It helps to keep them stimulated. We will do the same for your dog!
