Pet care experience
I've had dogs, cats, and other small pets for most of my life. I have also volunteered with rescues, and worked in the pet care field for several years. I have frequently been hired to petsit and walk dogs. I am able to perform some basic first aid on dogs and cats, but err on the side of bringing them to the vet. I have experience caring for other types of animals including guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, rats, tarantulas, jumping spiders, mantids, bearded dragons, geckos, cockatiels, parakeets, small parrots, freshwater fish, and horses. I do not have experience with other kinds of invertebrates, saltwater fish, ferrets, hedgehogs, chinchillas, snakes, or livestock other than horses. I am happy to care for these types of animals, but I will need detailed instructions from you.

Ann was fantastic! She kept us informed of the day to day during her time with the animals, with regular picture updates. The animals were all well cared for, and had a great time. House was well looked after. Would absolutely recommend and plan on using her again on the future!
This was our second booking with Ann, and it was wonderful! She kept us informed with daily updates and pictures of our dogs. She even played with them in the yard when the weather was nice! I appreciate the care she gave our dogs and our house. Will definitely book with her again!

Please let me know of if your pet has any special needs, accommodations, or behavioral challenges such as trying to back out of their collar. I am happy to use any specific commands you have trained them with, but will need them listed in the care info or written down. I have experience taking care of animals with special needs including those with chronic illness, medication requirements, mobility issues, and behavioral challenges; however, these are never one size fits all situations so I would need to talk with you to ensure I would be a good fit for your pet(s).
A typical day
This depends on your pet, and what they need. Anything from long walks, fetch, freezing toys for teething dogs, enrichment activities such as puzzles designed for dogs. I'm flexible, and tailor the day to your pet. I typically send updates with photos in the evening after your pet has been fed dinner. I can do this more often, at a different time, or include videos on request.

Availability
I'm flexible with changing schedules, and am happy to accommodate the needs of your pets. When you hire me as a sitter I am able to be with your pets almost all day. I wouldn't be away for more than 2-3 hours, and I rarely need to do this more than once every few days. I am almost always available between late October and late May. Between late May and late October I typically work 6am to 4:30pm Wednesday through Saturday so my availability is much more limited.
