Experience from dogs to monkeys
Pet care experience
I am a recent graduate from Clemson University with a degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. I have previously interned at an animal rescue where I cared for and medicated (including eye and nose drops, pills and vaccines) the dogs, cats, horses, and bunnies who came into our rescue. Daily duties included feeding, medicating, exercising (of the dogs and horses), and playing with the animals. The rescue had many puppies that I assisted in house training and basic command training (sit, stay, come, leash training, etc.) I also was an intern at the Greenville Zoo where I assist the keepers in daily animal care of many different animal species. I just finished hiking the Appalachian Trail which is 2200 miles long, so I would love to take your furry friend for a walk!

She provides thorough feedback and goes above and beyond to meet our needs (e.g,. drying our puppies paws before coming in from the rain, closing our bedroom doors for us when our little Houdini figured out how to break out of his pen). I would like to know size and breed of the dog before pet sitting for them. I would also like to know how the dog does with other dogs if the owner knows. I have no preferences, I would just like to know a little about the pet beforehand so I can provide the best care possible for them :)
A typical day
I will do whatever gets the dog excited and fulfills their need for fun and exercise. If the owner specifies any particular activities the dog enjoys than we will of course do that. If no specifics are given, we will go for walks, play fetch and tug-of-war, and I’ll give all the head scratches a dog could want.

Availability
I work everyday from 9:30am to 6pm, so I am available anytime outside of those hours to take care of your pet. I can’t do any long term stays because I have to travel some, but I’m happy to help with any stays lasting a week or less.
