I have been an animal lover my entire life. When I moved to Virginia after college, I immediately adopted a lost kitty that a coworker had found. A year later, I welcomed another kitty in need to my family. Although I've always had cats because of my busy work life and frequent travels, I have plenty of experience with dogs too. I have been loving and caring for dogs belonging to family, friends, and neighbors for as long as I can remember. For five years, I worked as a part-time dog nanny to three rescue pups (and personal assistant to their human). I have also been volunteering with various animal rescues, shelters and sanctuaries locally and internationally since 1999. My love for animals led me to spend the majority of the first 25 years of my career working for non-profit organizations that focus on helping animals. Most recently, I worked as an Operations Manager for a DC-based organization with a $4 million budget. Although these experiences were rewarding, I am now ready for a change. I would love to focus my attention on caring for your beloved fur kids while you are working or traveling. I believe that taking care of our animals involves much more than just providing the basics. Love, attention, mental stimulation, and exercise are all equally important!
