Overall, a stressful disaster. My girlfriend and I dropped our dogs off before heading out for vacation which required air travel. As we board the plane, we receive a text stating that we need to pick my girlfriends dog up due to his jumping in the pool and “jumping” on her dog. Ann was warned thoroughly beforehand that this dog had a lot of energy, and was given specific instructions for how to take care of him. Maybe don’t let him in the backyard if he’s doing that? This list included not giving him anything soft as he will destroy them. Nevertheless, he was given a bed to sleep on that he apparently chewed, and she complained about it. Obviously, we couldn’t pick the dog up due to being on a plane, creating for a very stressful start to our vacation. Ann complained at the long list of instructions given to her about this dog with an “ugh” through text. She complained about having a nice place and having concerns about things getting ruined. If you’re a dog sitter, you shouldn’t commit to watching dogs if you are that concerned about these issues. Despite being informed of the dogs needs and what to look out for, Ann committed to watching the dog and complained about his behavior that she was informed about prior to watching him anyway. One should not commit to watching a dog while knowing their needs if one is not going to keep that commitment. Ann stated that she did not require a meet up beforehand, but clearly she should reconsider this practice if she is so anal about her house and particular about only watching dogs that don’t present with a need for redirection. It’s not realistic that as a dog watcher you’re going to get all dogs that are easy to manage. Ultimately, after much stressful back and forth about this issue, Ann agreed to take the dog to a vet where they were able to watch the dog. Ann proceeded to nickel and dime us for the miles she traveled, gas, and tolls. Ann received payment through Venmo beforehand, so there was nothing we can do about refuting those ridiculous fees. The vet that we used to watch the dog afterwards described Ann to us as “a mess” without us even prompting them about the situation. So hey, if you want to take the risk with Ann, that’s your call, but I would strongly consider our experience especially if your dog isn’t an absolutely breeze to take care of. Overall, wouldn’t ever recommend and I strongly believe Ann should reconsider how she approaches her business of watching dogs. Never again.

Rex - our 8 months old at that time dachshund - was in heaven with Ann. She sent us updates every day, both written and photos, during our 6 days vacation. Ann had many observation about him, treated him as home-dweller. And the ambience in the house is very lovely and calming, Rex felt like home from his first doggy step. I can't thanks Ann more for taking care of our dearest Rex. Very good job Ann!
