Treats! Spa luxury at kennel prices

Pet care experience

I have been a therapist and workshop leader in Philadelphia over the past 20 years. And now I've gone to the dogs! I have scaled down my professional practice to fulfill a retirement dream - spending unlimited time with dogs in and out of doors. I believe, along with an anonymous writer, that "until you have loved an animal a part of your soul remains unawakened." I have owned and loved dogs all my life. I am looking forward to meeting and loving yours!

Ann is really a delight. Ann sent us photos with updates daily so we didn’t have to wonder if Maggie was ok.

Ann took such good care of our VERY dog-reactive pitty-boxer mix, Sophie, and on short notice, too. We had another sitter cancel on us two days before our booking and Ann was so kind to take us on so quickly. Sophie seemed relaxed and happy after our weekend apart, and from the frequent pictures Ann sent over the weekend, Sophie was clearly spoiled and loving life at her house. I couldn't have been more pleased with how everything worked out.

Ann did great with our two dogs! We got daily updates that showed she was really connecting with them.

Can your dog sitter accommodate a two am drop off? 7:30am pick up? Ann can. She was very communicative before, during and after my dog's stay. He felt at ease in her home and even got to sleep in her bed . Whether you're slightly anxious, nervous or experiences pet owner, you'll appreciate booking with Ann.

Meet my pets I live in a dog friendly new townhouse in a dog friendly neighborhood. My house is safe and comfortable for all my guests especially the canine ones. No carpets, no cages, no in house competition like kids or other pets. The backyard is cozy, with just enough room for a sip from the pond, a rustle in the beds, a roll in the grass, sunning on the patio. And a quick pit stop. Within 5 mins drive of my house there are dog parks, walks on the river, shopping at the local pet store and lots more opportunity for fun. My guests are my treats.

Information Ann G. would like to know about your pet

All breeds, all ages are wonderful. I am particularly sensitive to special temperaments and needs. I would want to know the dog's schedule, favorite, activities, preferred handling , comfort treats - belly scratch? ear rub? ice in the water bowl?

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks I live in Mt Airy in Philadelphia. I am 10 mins drive away from the Wissahickon river trails, Also in close reach of several large parks and playing fields. There are two dog parks within a few blocks. I go to all of these with dogs regularly and also take walks around the Mt Airy and Chestnut Hill neighborhoods. Your dog's sleeping arrangement If your dog is accustomed to sleeping in bed we can cuddle up on the bed on the first floor. If your dog sleeps in his own bed, I encourage the owner to bring it - for familiarity sake and I put it at the side of my bed on the third floor. If my guest likes to have his own room, there is the dedicated ottoman on the second floor. Time I'll spend with your dog I do not have to be out of the house for more than 4 hours total each day. Most days less, and if the owner is ok with my taking the pet on errands, definitely less. The rest of the time I'll be keeping company with my guest.

Why I love dog sitting I have owned and loved dogs all my life. Last fall I lost my beloved 13 year old dog to a long battle with arthritis. I don't have to explain to dog lovers how empty the house felt. I decided I would like to fill the doggy void with lots of pets - yours:) My business Treats is a retirement dream coming true: unlimited time with dogs in and out of doors. I offer loving quality attention for your pet and a carefree vacation for you. dog
