About me : Hi all I’m Ankita I am a business owner a mom of 2 + 1 7 year old havanese named Fiji . My whole family of 4 is fully vaccinated and will be getting booster shots soon . We have a brand new single family home in the extremely dog friendly community called avenue one San Jose . Our house is temperature controlled and with a yard . ( please see photos ) I grew up in New Delhi india and the lovely Melbourne Australia !i have lived in the Bay Area for a decade and a half now . Our dog is groomed monthly and is vaccinated and in perfect health by archvet vet down the road . He is also neutered . **** we do not do meet and greets in our home due to Covid and to protect the privacy of my family . We do FaceTime calls where I can show you parts of my home where your dog will stay and also meet you with my dog at the dog park near my Home **** !if you want to see the house and yard we have plenty of photos attached on my profile and if you’re curious about my dogs personality he is the grey havanese in the photos attached and you can see him interacting with other dogs .The house can be viewed on FaceTime , pictures attached and on day of drop off . Thank you for understanding . Our reasons for doing this: -We love meeting new breeds and experiencing new challenges and getting better as dog owners ( we learn something new with each visit ) -My kids help out more and more each time a new friend visits which is important for them - The $$ goes towards more doggie gear we use toward guest dogs and house cleaning more frequently which is always a plus - our dog Fiji gets the much needed socialization . Since he’s little he’s a bit frightened at the dog park with larger dogs - We are able to help out in small ways towards dogs going through anxiety with current owners by suggesting small solutions that go a long way and have worked for us What we are NOT - We are not groomers although we would be happy to give your pet a quick bath -We are not dog trainers with any professional or Cpr qualifications for emergency -We have not been trained to handle aged dogs or any pets with pre existing conditions I pick up a within 10 miles for a flat rate

I had Murphy at Ankita’s for a day and we are really happy with the way he was taken care of by the entire family. This was first time for Murphy being away from us and Ankita gave him all the love he needed. Will definitely consider leaving Murphy again at Ankita’s whenever we need help with.
Ankita and her family welcomed Poe into their home and treated him like their own. I got a lot of updates while I traveled overseas for the holiday. Overall I was very pleased. A 10/10 for me and I think Poe had a lovely time.
Ankita is an awesome dog sitter. The whole family gets involved in taking care of the dog. She was very accommodative as well. We had so many changes happening in our travel plans and Ankita was very flexible in terms of pickup and drop off time and days. She would send photos and videos everyday as we had requested. My dog was very happy while she was there. Would definitely recommend her and I would surely hire her again if I am travelling.
Very happy with Ankita for taking care of Espio. She kept me updated on Espio's and took my inputs to make his stay comfortable. I received photos and updates for Espios which gave me peace of mind and I could enjoy my time away from Espio. I really value her support.

We have a fenced yard at home and also a partition in our home it you want to seperate your dog from ours at night . We prefer to only dog sit a single dog at a time .Sometimes our bookings overlap due to some owners running late and flight delays etc which are unavoidable and that’s ok. Peak times: Long weekends we are inundated with requests and in those days we might accept 2 guest dogs . Usually we take existing clients plus 1 dog that is of a compatible small breed as the others . We sometimes host meet and greets for all the guest dogs so the owners are satisfied they’ll get along . You can ask me if you want to do that . I will always take permission from owners before hosting a guest dog with theirs .

Doggie checklist : This is not to stress you out but to help you pack better . Since your friend is away from home and you it sometimes helps to have these things so they can smell you and their home . We have backups available incase you forget any of these . Bed Toys Food bowls ( one for food and one for water ) Diaper pad incase he or she still has accidents Treats Kibble Optional items in ziplock for fridge : shredded chicken , cheese or boiled eggs ( if your dog eats these ) Leash that fits ( please assure of this for your dogs own safety ) Any collar with his name on or please let me know if he or she is microchipped Additional things to do before drop off Please try to bathe your dog before you drop him or her - we can bathe him or her if you like ! Just let us know ! Nails to be cut Need his rabies shot photo and it needs to be current else I won’t be able to accept booking Thank you for understanding ! Essential info 24 hours before drop off :( please message me on rover app so I have a record during future stays ) We need vaccination information Information on special conditions Any things we need to be careful of If we need to medicate or walk Some dogs have cataracts etc please let us know so we are aware due to stairs in our home Insurance information Full vet info with phone no incase of emergency You can call or message me anytime I usually get back within the hour if not sooner since i work on my phone I usually send lots of photos on day 1 and maybe once a day or two updates after that Some owners want more frequent ones some want to completely detach it’s up to you ! Don’t be shy to send me a message if you’re missing your friend and I’ll send you a photo or video ASAP along with what we did all day Thank you !
A typical day
We usually let your dog out early into the yard and based on your instructions take care . Usually it involves food you have provided , play yard and walks . We will also allow play time between our small havanese and yours to add social skills . Thanks
