Experienced dog sitter with garden and 24/7 care

Pet care experience

I'm a dedicated dog mother of two - a shetland sheepdog boy (3 yrs) and a rough collie girl (1yr), both are neutered/spayed. They love the company of other pets and they make wonderful playmates. They are especially good with small dogs - the girl grew up with pomeranian sized spitzes in a shelter and the boy is quite small himself and plays very carefully. They are also not afraid from bigger dogs. I'm very consistent with their upbringing, so they are usually very well behaved. I'm training them regularly - the sheltie boy is learning basic agility and the collie girl is still in basic training. Safety comes first in our household - I always make sure they are not in any kind of peril during our walkies or while we are at home. We live near the Stadtwald so our main daily walkie happens there. I would not let your dog go unleashed (unless s/he is recallable) but I have a 20m leash so we can even play fetch in the forest if you want. Our daily walkies can be adjusted for your dog's needs - these two love walking and playing any time and they have a flexible schedule. We also have a small garden so they can go potty there or play. My dogs are very sensitive to specific foods so I'm extra careful with only feeding dogs their own food. I'm a homemaker so I'm usually with them all day. I'd only go to obligatory appointments every once in a while, but these are not common. If you need pick up and drop off services please note that pickup must be before 8 and drop off after 5-6 because of our schedule and each of such requests will be judged individually. Pick up and drop off on the weekends is more flexible.

Anita is a wonderful dog sitter. I’ve left my pup with her several times and I always know she is having a great time. She doesn’t want to leave and comes back exhausted!

We have let Anita take care of Chai and Barney for a few times now and all I can say is that both our dogs are the happiest when they are with her ! She takes very good care of them and always updates us on the smallest of bits !

Anita took excellent care of my 5 month old podenco. Before taking her to Anita I walked my dog in the woods, where she decided it would be a good idea to roll around in animal faeces. I didn’t have time to go back home and wash her, but not only was it no problem for Anita to take my dog in in that state, but she also washed her and her harness. My dog got along really well with hers and Anita kept me up to date with photos and videos. Overall a great experience for all!

Information Anita S. would like to know about your pet

The dog must not bark a lot in the apartment. I usually prefer sheepdogs (big fur is not a problem) and smaller dogs. I think every dog is different so I'd like to talk with the owners in details about the dog's preferences and behaviour in advance. If you have a dog with separation anxiety or behavioural problems please state in the first message. These things usually does not mean exclusion (I've worked with plenty of dogs with problems) but I have to know these for effective planning.

A typical day

We usually go on walks one or two times per day depending on the owner's requests and the dogs' needs. First walkie is between 9-12 and the second one (if needed) in the afternoon between 5-9. For the morning walkie we make a big round in the forest for 1,5-2 hours. Potty and play breaks are provided in the garden between the two walkie times. Playing tug of war is my sheltie's favourite game and the collie girl likes to be chased and likes to run. They also love to play fetch with sticks or a ball and they love when other doggies join them. I also offer home-made treats from allergen free materials. The treats are usually made of two of these vegetables: carrots/apples/beetroot/sweet potato/zucchini, gluten-free flour (rice/millet/red lentil/coconut) and a little bit of oil (coconut oil/peanut butter/flax seed oil). I only work with ingredients safe for dogs and I NEVER add any sugar or salt or any other additives to the treats. If your dog has any kind of allergy please let me know in advance.
