Passionate Animal Lover!!

Pet care experience

I am an active Colorado Native and I have grown up around animals of all shapes, sizes and breeds. I am currently a Veterinary Technician at Dumb Friends League and I absolutely LOVE what I do. Although I live, sleep, and dream animals, I can never get enough of them! On my days off, I take my dogs on hikes and long walks and to the dog park. At my previous job, I worked as a dog handler and boarding lead. I am well-versed in dog and cat behavior and am K9 CPR certified. I have a lot of experience with administering medications and providing behavior support and structure to dogs and cats. I would love to help take your pups out for nice, long walks to support their mental, physical, and behavioral health. I am happy to do drop in visits if you are headed out of town as well. Those drop in visits include walks, if you would like, as well as feeding/watering, cuddle time and potty breaks. I can occasionally stay overnight if needed, but I would need plenty of time in advance to prepare for my own personal schedule. I currently live in Englewood/Cherry Hills area. I just moved here from the Highlands Ranch/Littleton/Lone Tree area. I still have clients that live in those areas as well as some up in Roxborough, so I am happy to commute to those parts of town as well! Please, keep me in mind when you need a reliable, friendly, knowledgeable dog walker or dog/cat/house/pet sitter!! Thanks!

Thank you Anita! You treat my big baby like he is yours. You are amazing for coming out even in terrible weather to make sure he was well taken care of.

Anita is simply the best . I have a 2 month old puppy and was looking for someone to let her out midday for a walk while I am at work. Anita is great! Very knowledgeable about animals , professional and always shows up. She also gives me tips and helps out with training. I would be lost without her.

Information Anita H. would like to know about your pet

Before sitting for a dog, I would like to know a bit about them including their likes, dislikes, medical concerns, and their idea of a great time so that I can focus on those things and give the best experience possible. Are they obsessed with ball toss? Do they prefer cuddle time? Do they have troubles with stairs? Are they reactive to other dogs or toys? Anything to maximize our time together, really.

A typical day

I like to go on walks where the dog feels the most comfortable around their neighborhood. If you'd like to show me your favorite route, I'd be more than happy to abide by that. I usually go on walks lasting between 30 and 60 minutes or more depending on the dog's needs. I love being active with playful dogs to give them a positive outlet for their energy. I also love giving extra TLC to those who might just want some extra love while you're away. It's also important to me that you know that your pup is really enjoying itself, so I like to send you pictures and quick little "post cards" throughout my stay to check in with you and reassure you that they are doing great!
