Full-time dog lover!

Pet care experience

My fiancé Gregory and I have been dog lovers for as long as we can remember! We are fur parents to Sasha, our amazing dog for more than 9 years, and she absolutely loves being in the company of other dogs. She is friendly, sweet, and loyal––just like your beloved pup! Our philosophy when it comes to animals is: the more the merrier! We’ve been toying with the idea of getting another dog, but for right now, working with Rover gives us the best of both worlds. We get to have another dog filling our home with love and fun energy, and we get to help you find a safe and nurturing home for your fur baby when you’re away. We know it can be a stressful and daunting process to trust a relative stranger with your furry best friend, but we want to make this as anxiety-free as possible. Although neither of us have worked with dogs in a professional capacity, we are very familiar and comfortable with providing dog care since we both grew up with animals. We’ve also dog sat for many friends and family over the years, and we have experience with all kinds of breeds, ages, temperaments, and special needs. Gregory is a teacher and works daytime hours from Monday thru Friday. He’s a calm and compassionate presence who’s wonderful with children and animals. I work evenings on the weekends and attend classes twice a week. Our schedules allow for one of us to be home most of the time––and when we’re not at work, we’re usually home hanging out or outdoors enjoying the fresh air. Gregory and I are extremely active and enjoy taking dogs out for long walks (two to three times a day) or to the dog park. We also have a good-sized yard for them to play in or soak in some sun. There is a large, open field in walking distance from our house which is great for dogs to run around without worrying about traffic or other hazards. Our goal is to provide a comfortable and fun environment for your dogs and give you peace of mind. We love doting on our dog and those who visit us, and we even make homemade treats! We give so much love and care to each one of our furry guests. Your pup’s health, safety, and happiness are our primary focus––whether it’s meal time or playtime or nap time. We are also a bit obsessed with taking pictures of all our adorable guests, so please check out our Instagram page @house_of_paws_. We are an energetic, caring, and highly dependable couple. Animals bring so much joy into our lives and teach us so much about ourselves. With every dog I meet, I feel so grateful for this work––that we get to spend such quality time with such loving beings. Whether it’s going outside or staying in, your pup will be an immediate member of our little pack. Gregory and I see all our furry guests as extensions of our own family, so we look forward to meeting you and extending our circle.

I did leave a review yesterday but not sure that it was sent. We liked Anita & Gregory and they have two really nice dogs that got along with our 2 Beagles. However, we were not happy when we picked the dogs up. We got there at 10:30 Monday morning the 17th. Anita was still in bed sleeping and it took a long time for her to answer the door. Gregory was not home. The dogs were crated and had not been let out or fed. We wondered how long they would have been crated before she got up to see about them. We trusted them to care for our dogs and not sure that was happening. We also woke Anita up on the day we dropped them off and we had a set time to be there.

Anita was great with Ty. She sent pictures and texts to keep me informed, she walked and played with him. He adjusted well and seemed happy. I really appreciate Anita and Greg, they put my mind at ease knowing our baby boy was well taken care of.

Anita and Gregory were amazing. I left my puppy with them for nearly a week and she was very comfortable. They were very flexible and accomadating to my changing schedule. Akira got plenty of exercise and was well cared for. I'd highly recommend them and would book them again without a doubt. Thanks Anita and Gregory!

Anita and Gregory are awesome. From the moment we met, I knew they would take good care of Barley. They are sweet and caring and very detailed. I appreciate going out of town without worrying about my dog being well cared for. I will continue to use them in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking for pet sitters!

Information Anita & Gregory B. would like to know about your pet

If you’d like to schedule a meet and greet, Gregory and I are more than happy to make that happen. We want you to feel completely at ease with us and vice versa. Sometimes, this isn’t possible due to life circumstances––we totally get that. If asked to drop-in, I will usually bring some treats with me (pre-approved by you of course) and let the pup sniff around and feel comfortable. I like to meet them at their level so they know I’m a friend. That’s all it usually takes since Gregory and I have a natural ease around dogs. We don’t have any breed or age preferences. We’ll want to know the basics like your dog’s diet, routines, favorite toys and preferred games to play, general temperament, medications if applicable, and how they respond to stress like young children or loud noises. The more information we have at our disposal, the better care we can provide. We understand the importance of open and honest communication, so we will be available 24/7, so please don’t hesitate to contact us. We will also send regular updates throughout the day as well as on Instagram, so you don’t ever miss a moment with your precious pet.

A typical day

Our neighborhood has a large field and a park across the street connected by a trail that’s perfect for long walks. We have a nice backyard that we also use to let smaller dogs out more frequently. I personally love taking our dog to the dog park where she can freely roam and socialize with other dogs. Just let us know what your pup is comfortable with, and we’ll make their stay as rewarding as possible. If not outdoors, we will be snuggled up on the couch while we make dinner. Again, we love having lots of dogs around the house, so please get in touch!
