Pet care experience
I have experience with ALL animals, growing up with summers on my grandparents farm. My parents still have a little farm where my goats live! My family always had dogs around, workers and pets. I can't have any pets right now in my apartment, so I need fur time! I'm low stress and easygoing, I have walked/leash trained dogs (and goats!) for friends who had anxiety/aggression problems and I'm competent at controlling behavior and anxiety. I am a Behavioral Therapist for human animals in my day job, so while I don't 'Teach Tricks' I am confident in gentle retraining general behavior problems and anxiety. Furred or not we're all pretty much the same! So if you have a perfectly delightful dog, I'd love to take them for a walk. If you have a dog that needs a little explaining... I'd love to take them for a walk too :)

Anika was great! She was easy to work with and my dog seemed right at home with her. My dog is a little quirky and she was very understanding. She sent lots of pics, so I know my dog was well taken care of.
Anika and our dog Bo are best buddies. She learned his quirks early on and figured out how to handle his occasional leash reactivity well. They even run around Green Lake now, running the dog gauntlet successfully. Her background in applied behavioral analysis has proved to serve our doggie well and might for yours too!

ABSOLUTELY NO Breed preferences. But if you have a dog that is known to be anxious (I generally don't acknowledge 'aggressive' as a way dogs are.) or unhappy with newcomers I ask you be there for the first meeting and have them a bit hungry so I can give them some treats and generally endear myself.
A typical day
I'm new to Auburn and exploring the area, so lots of meandering on side streets and into parks. I jog once a day, so there's a good chance we'll be running around.
