Caveat: this review is for my cat—I’m assuming she has more experience with dogs. I left my cat home for a week over the holidays. I gave very clear, detailed instructions regarding the two main things I needed done: wet food to be given, and the litter box to be emptied. I booked two 30-minute sessions over the course of that week. My first clue that something was wrong happened when I checked in on the pet camera—which I told her about beforehand—that I have in my home. It appeared, based on the time, that she had only been in the apartment for about ten minutes. For the second visit, it was obvious she had been in there for eight minutes, even though the check in and out time was for at least thirty minutes. Fine, I thought—it’s irritating I paid for much more time than that, and that she mislead me, but at least the main chores were done. I came home, and it was patently clear the litter box had not been emptied. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and reached out to her to see if there had been a misunderstanding, and she directly lied to me and said that she had “carried out” the trash with her, even though the camera showed no indication of this, even though the instructions were clear about the two trash cans within five feet of the litter box, and even though there are no general trash cans in my apartment complex or directly outside of it. This was my first Rover experience, and now I’m afraid to use it again.
