I began caring for dogs at the start of my sophomore year of college. Two friends welcomed a yorki and a mini-poodle into their homes, and while they were away on trips, I would always be the one they called for boarding. For the yorki specifically, the owner was convinced that she wasn't much of a walker, but once she stayed with me and I got her on a strict walking schedule, she absolute loved it and was always eager to visit a park. Just 4 months ago, I became a dog momma to a beautiful and quite energetic 5-month old goldendoodle. Everyone is always impressed by her training and how well-behaved she is around other people and dogs, and I'm a firm believer that all it takes is a little loving, a lot of treats, and a consistent schedule to get the job done.
