Experienced and reliable pet care

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm Angie, and I live with my miniature schnauzer, Chloe (aka Cookie) who is 13. We lost our Bella (also a schnauzer) in 2021, she lived to be 15 years old. I had Bella from when she was a wee puppy, and Chloe was just 4-5 months old when I adopted her. Thus I have experience with all stages of a dog's life from puppyhood through their senior years. I have also fostered a few dogs and have walked dogs for friends, family, and neighbors. While I have not had a cat of my own, I have cared for family and friend's cats in the past. I would love to meet your cat(s) and get to know them! I also have experience with small and medium sized parrots as I have had pet budgies and cockatiels in the past, and have also cared for friend's parrots. I really love all animals and would probably have a small farm if I didn't like to travel so much! I work from home exclusively and take my dog on a daily 30-90 minute walks every single day, rain or shine. Chloe and I would love for your dog to join us! I also have a pet stroller for smaller dogs, so dogs with limited mobility can come along for a walk. Pets thrive on a routine, so let me know yours! We start with the morning cuddles, potty and breakfast. Then I'll take a break around lunchtime for another potty time and maybe a snack or some kind of enrichment (usually playtime!). Then a walk after work, dinner time, more playtime and enrichment. And finally the nighttime potty break before bed. Pets are welcome on furniture and in bed with me if they wish.

Angie and her canine co-host, Chloe, did an A+++ job with our Ravi. Angie is patient, clever and tender, and she managed Ravi’s separation anxiety well. After a brief transition, they were best buds. If you have any reservations about leaving your beloved pet with Angie, let me put you at ease. Angie has the maturity and focus to provide comfort and security for your pet. She was also attentive to Ravi’s meds and sent updates with photos while we were traveling. We will be happy to rebook with Angie. Go ahead and book with confidence!

I had great peace of mind leaving my little guy with Angie for a multi night stay while I was out of town. She provided a comfortable environment for him and he got lots of attention. She asked great questions in our meet and greet which showed her experience in caring for pets. It’s such a relief to know I have someone I can trust to leave him with in the future too!

Angie was great! Very kind and sweet with our little guy and asked good questions to make sure she clearly understoof the care he needed. He enjoyed his stay and we will definitely be using Angie as a regular sitter!

Angie and Chloe stayed in our home and watched our two tiny dogs and our cantankerous cat for a week while we were in London. I really cannot say enough about how great a job they did! So conscientious and professional and seemed to truly enjoy connecting with our animals. Also left the house spic and span and monitored our flights on the way home and were prepared to stay an extra night if things went haywire and we did not get home on time. Angie is a truly trustworthy, kind, and responsible person who genuinely loves her work and it really shows. And her dog Chloe is the sweetest and most gentle and loving soul you have ever seen (hope her lovely demeanor rubbed off on my two crazy Papillons)! It was such peace of mind to have Angie in our home. We felt immediately comfortable with her from the first meet and greet and her communication was perfect from the very first contact until the end of the job. She is also a talented photographer and sent so many darling photos and videos. This was our first experience using Rover and it was more than we had ever paid for housesitting, but well worth every penny for the peace of mind to know that our home and animals were so well cared for.

I care for other’s pets as though they were my own. They’ll get plenty of attention and enrichment. I don’t have a fenced yard, but even if I did, daily walks are always on the schedule. I am fascinated with animal behavior and seek to understand what animals are saying to be sure their needs are met.

If the pets get along with other dogs. Do they have a history of biting dogs or humans? What they are reactive to. How are their leash manners.

A typical day

I love finding new ways to enrich a dog's day. From puzzles and games like "go find it!", to a nice long walk along Farro Creek, a hike at Tryon, or an excursion to the beach, or just learning a new trick at home. I really enjoy all of it!

I am home most of the time so your pet won’t be left alone all day. We’ll have breaks outside, and then a longer walk every day. For pets boarding with me, I can work with most any feeding schedule but I cannot leave food out for long because Chloe has been known to sneak a bite. Most dogs quickly adapt to being fed on a schedule.
