ANGIE'S FUR ANGELS
Pet care experience
I am now 73 and have had dogs all my life...even birds, cats, fish, turtles & more. I bred & raised several of the small breeds I had. Pomeranians I bred for the most part. Last 20 years I have fallen in love with toy poodles. I learned how to train dogs about 20 years ago. I have been doing it ever since. My two poodles I taught to do tricks. I have taken care of many owners pets in the past but that was before I ever heard of Rover.
Reviews

My little guy lived his visit with Angie.

Angie was attentive to details and very friendly. Even our shy cat came out of hiding and let Angie pet her!

Angie was great and my boys enjoyed their time! She was very understanding with some changes in our pickup and drop off times and we really appreciated it.

Angie was amazing!! Very accommodating when I got stuck on an overnight hike! Bodhi was very well taken care of! She cares and it shows💖

I live in a house with a fenced deck and fenced yard. There is stairs to my garden. Ask more, if this concerns you. My 2 friendly toy poodles get plenty of exercise running up and down the stairs to the deck and among my beautiful garden. There are several very close areas to walk dogs within 5 minutes driving of my house. Also, we have a dog park 10 min away. Here's a PLUS....I literally live 30 min from the northern gate entrance to Yosemite National Park, (our 3rd National Park). So, if you plan a trip to hit the snow, hike to its many waterfalls, bike or take a nice relaxing float down the lazy class 2 Merced River in Yosemite......contact ME. You can't take dogs on these ventures...

Information Angie L. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know anything you feel would be useful for your dog's stay here. Fears, desires, preferred treats (you provide), tricks etc. Even if you pet is here for the day only, I suggest you bring a blanket, favorite toy and perhaps a used sock of yours. This way I can make a "special spot" for your pets to lie down that has familiar scents. I must add some limitations for dogs staying in my home. I do NOT accept unspayed, unneutered males. This can be dangerous for other dogs in my care. Your pets MUST be house broken, willingly going to the door when it needs to go potty/poop. If your pet is a senior and on meds that makes him lose control of his bladder or bowels, I cannot care for your dog...in your home nor mine. If your pet damages my carpet, digs up my garden, destroys any of my property I will Not be able to have your pet in my home. If I was not informed prior to booking about any of these problems and your dog stays here, you will be held responsible for damages.
A typical day
I take new dogs on a tour of my yard and area in my house when first arrived. I encourage all dogs to follow me when I go outside to do chores etc. I take a dog's face in my hand while I speak the do'g name and we look into each other's eyes. Lots of petting, rubbing etc. to build a good warm relationship. Tug of war is a common play my dogs enjoy. Dog's love when I play hide n' seek....me hiding & popping out. Great rainy day game that gets them so excited they will chase each other all over the house. It is essential that I am informed of any handicaps your dog may have...such as blindness, hearing loss, digestive issues, fear of the dark etc. Please do NOT switch food prior to bringing your dog to stay here. Always continue the same food when in a new environment. Bad experiences on all of these issues have occurred and is the primary reason for me bringing this up. It is also for the comfort of your pet.

I am home a lot, and only gone on doctor appointment days. I am available most weekends and most holidays. I only leave for the big ones like Christmas and Thanksgiving. As a rule, I am pretty flexible.
