Pet care experience
I've had a cat or dog for over 30 years of my life. I have cared for animals of all ages from bottle-feeding babies to administering medicine, shots, and eye drops in older pets. I am missing having a pet since my last one passed in September 2021. Petsitting allows me to fill that gap.

Caring for a client's pet depends on their household pet rules. When I had pets, my cats/dogs were allowed access to most of the house. My cats were trained to stay off counters/tables. My dog did not use a crate but normally slept in his own bed. 90% of the time, the dog was allowed to freely play in the fenced yard. Occasionally, I took him on walks. I appreciate clear expectations from clients so I can maintain the pet's normal routine.

Safety is always my number one priority both for your pet and anyone/anything else they may encounter. I'd appreciate knowing how your pet cooperates on a leash and how they react to other dogs. Please let me know if your dog has special needs or behaviors of which I should be aware.
A typical day
I hope to do my best to maintain your pet's routine. We will make the most of our time together whether it that involves tug-of-war, walking on a leash, playing in a fenced-in yard, or something else completely!

Availability
I am working virtually and completing my master's degree online. For the most part, this allows me to be available 7 days a week on a flexible schedule. I may be willing to travel further distances for overnight housesitting. Just ask and we'll see what we can work out!
