animal lover & outdoor enthusiast

Pet care experience

i've volunteered as dog walker for animal care control, it allowed me to work along various breeds with different needs and temperament. i can customize a routine based on your dogs needs, for example if your dog is an active breed, i can provide long walks combined with playtime and a lot of cuddles. (don't worry your dog will still love you) the plan is to keep your dog happy and engaged. I'm conscious of the importance of keeping an open line of communication, I can provide photos and updates as often as you desire. on weekdays I'm available in the evening and anytime during the weekend. Lastly, i can sit small to medium dogs my apartment, with no issues at all, i have one roommate and two cats.

We are so happy with Angie. From the moment we contacted her, she was responsive, polite and eager. She came to our house to meet our dogs and they were so happy to meet her and she was just as excited. She made sure to ask plenty of questions about their daily routine and was just great! When we were away, Angie sent us videos of our 2 dogs every morning and evening. They were their happy selves everyday. Angie made sure everything was clean when we returned home and the dogs were without a doubt spoiled and well taken care of. We would recommend Angie to anyone looking for a dog lover to watch their dogs when they aren't home. We will definitely use Angie again. Thank you Angie!!!

Angie D was probably my worst sitter experience with Rover so far. When I first met her for our meet and greet I had high hopes. She seemed very sweet and got along with my dog Emmie very well. I explained my instructions very thoroughly, showed her around my 2 bedroom Midtown West apartment, and was very detailed about what my expectations were. My flight ended up being canceled the next day so I ended up leaving one day later, but I paid her for that one night anyway since I had already booked her time. So she watched my pets for 4 nights instead of 5 as originally planned. She did send a few pics via text and cute videos which were nice, but not every day. She texted once to let me know that she had discovered poop on my dog Emmie's butt a day later (?) and asking what to do about it. She said it had gotten on my bedspread and she had washed that off the bedspread. I was stunned. First of all--why did it take you a whole day to notice--to the point where it had dried up on her butt? Where were you? Then I thought fine, don't you have any common sense? I explained to her in great detail how to put Emmie's back side under the sink and wash it off with warm water and soap, then gently dry her off. The thought had never occurred to her. I thought everything was going to be fine prior to meeting Angie, but now I was starting to have my doubts. She clearly did not know how to do basic things--and appeared to be possibly neglecting Emmie. When I returned home, my apartment was like an oven. The space heater in the living room had been left on full blast. It was like a furnace!! My poor babies were frying. It must have been 100 degrees plus. I had to immediately turn that off. What lunatic leaves a dog and cat in such hot temperatures and then leaves? My pets and my apartment were left filthy. Their food containers were left open. My cat's water had obviously not been changed/refreshed since I'd left 4 days earlier. Her dry food was DRENCHED with water. Mind you, Priscilla is the biggest diva and won't even eat her food or drink her water unless it is fresh and changed daily--and I told Angie this very clearly. I have no idea why her dry food was soaked with water. It was as though someone had literally poured water onto it. The plastic container into which the metal bowl for the food is placed had a layer of water in it. Completely shocking. There were scoot marks all over my marble bathroom floor composed of fecal matter which hadn't been cleaned (obviously made by Emmie on the day Angie didn't notice the poop on her butt and Emmie was trying to clean her butt on her own). Angie just left these linear poop marks on my gorgeous marble floor without cleaning them. I had to clean them myself. There were some on my kitchen and living room floors as well. What a nightmare!! Priscilla's face obviously hadn't been cleaned since I left 4 days back. I had specifically asked Angie to attempt to gently clean her face with a paper towel or washcloth with warm water. It hadn't been done. Nothing I asked for was done. The kitchen floors were sticky and filthy. I have to have my cleaning lady come ASAP to take care of this disgusting mess. I may as well have taken $220 and put it in a piile and lit it on fire. I got the same result. I'm just happy my babies are still ALIVE and nothing appears to have been STOLEN from my apartment--although I still haven't completely checked all my things yet. The moral of the story is DO NOT HIRE ANGIE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS!!!! Or if you want to have peace of mind while you are on your trip. You will certainly regret it. I did.

We hired Angie to take care of our chihuahua,Max while we were out of town for vacation. She was an excellent sitter! First, she lives within walking distance of us, which is very convenient. She kept us updated with video clips of Max playing and let us know that he was alright. We were concerned about Max being with a new person but he was very receptive with Angie. She did a great job alleviating any concerns or worries that we had. She is a very kind, warm and gentle person. We highly recommend her!
