Pet care experience
I’d be thrilled to care for your dogs, cats, or any other pets you might have. I'm most eager about sittings and drop-in visits! I currently work at my 3rd kennel/daycare job so I have experience with many different personalities including rescues and police K9’s, and I have experience administering medication, disinfecting messes, feeding various kinds of diets, and walking dogs from slow/old to strong/energetic. It’ll be my pleasure giving your pet the best attention to ensure they’re as happy as possible while you’re away!
Reviews
Angela did an amazing job watching our two dogs in our home while we were out of the country for vacation. From the moment she showed up for the meet and greet, we knew she was going to be a great dog sitter. She took notes, and ensured everything was done how we wanted. She played fetch with our older dog and took our younger dog to the dog park every day (as asked). Angela sent pictures every day, and text updates of how they were doing. She clearly did a great job, as others at the dog park and my neighbor later asked me for her contact information after seeing her interact with our boys!
This is the second time we have had Angela watch our dog, Kima, while we were gone. Angela stayed in our home and took excellent care of Kima. She sent a text message each day with how Kima was doing and included photos. We highly recommend Angela for dog sitting!
Angela was the perfect sitter for our dog, Kima! Angela took the time to get to know Kima prior to our trip. Our dog is anxious in meeting new people but Angela’s easy, gentle manner won her over. Throughout our trip, Angela sent photos and videos of her and Kima getting along and having fun! I highly recommend Angela as a pet sitter. We will definitely have her take care of Kima again!
Thanks for taking great care of our cats, Angela! Will look forward to using again for other trips!

You may have noticed I raised my rates, most significantly for sittings. I had to do this to accommodate for the commission Rover has been taking from all my services. Please note that Rover takes at least a 20% cut (& according to my calculations it appears to be even more...) for every service. So when it comes to sittings, I make significantly less despite the expensive rate owners are having to pay. For example: for me to make close to $65/night for sittings, the owners need to pay $80. Thank you for your understanding & if you have any questions please don't hesitate to message me.
Information Angela W. would like to know about your pet
In addition to the individual personality and preferences of your pet, it'd be great to know where everything I might use is located in the house (such as their leash, poop bags, toys, treats, food, dishes, litter boxes, cleaning supplies, any comfort items like a calming spray, etc.). Especially if I'm doing overnight sittings, it'd be helpful to get a feel for their routines like what times they eat, a treat time, if they do something right before bed such as a potty break, the setting in which they sleep like if all the lights are off, etc. Some pets might have a harder time with you away and so the more consistent we can make their day the better! If your pet has any special needs or health issues, I definitely want to know all about them and how to best care for him/her. As for walks, if your dog (or cat) has a potentially confusing harness, it'd be nice to get clarification on how it's properly worn. It would also be important to be made aware if your dog has any potential triggers. For example, if a squirrel were to run in front of us, is your dog the type to suddenly bolt after it? As I said earlier, if your dog happens to be massive like a Great Dane, I want to make sure it's not a strong puller. For unsure cases, it'd be a good idea to do a meet-and-greet so I can get a feel for its strength and size and see if I'll be able to handle it for walks.
A typical day
Our typical day or activities we do will depend on what I learn about the individual animal from you or my own observations. Some pets constantly love to play with toys or walk around, while others wouldn't mind just snuggling and receiving pets all day long. Please tell me about your pet's personality and how he/she loves to spend the day! I personally love older pets, but I have no problem running around in the yard throwing balls for high energy dogs either. If you have go-to treats I may use I would really appreciate that, it feels great being able to hand out treats to boost their dopamine from time to time. My Service Area: I am located in Mount Airy, Maryland (between Carroll County, Frederick County, Howard County, & Montgomery County). Beyond Mount Airy, I frequently visit areas such as New Market, Green Valley, Monrovia, Damascus, Lisbon, Woodbine, Harrisville, Woodville, and sometimes Sykesville, Libertytown, Linganore, Urbana, & Frederick. My current kennel/daycare job is located in Clarksburg along Green Valley Road (Route 75), east of Urbana. I set my maximum range of miles from home to 15 miles within Rover so that I'm not closed off from opportunities to sit pets who are a bit farther away. However if you need more frequent & brief services like drop-in visits twice a day, I probably won't be willing to travel that far back & forth (unless I'm already in the area). If you are a farther distance from me I am most likely to accept if it's for overnight sittings, or for drop-in visits every other day with flexibility on times (this is a common request for cat care). However, since I've been spending too much money on gas due to it being so expensive, I've decided to start incorporating a mileage fee for distances farther than 10 miles from me. This will apply to my "current location" because sometimes I will have already made prior commitments to sit farther away, & visiting someone else's home during that time might demand extra travel even if they happen to be closer to where I live. Per visit, I will charge an additional fee of $5 for distances between 10 and 15 miles (10 ≤ X < 15), $10 for distances between 15 and 20 miles (15 ≤ X < 20), and $15 for distances between 20 and 25 miles (20 ≤ X ≤ 25). Sometimes I receive farther requests because they might be a shorter direct distance from me, but when I finally receive their address & put it in the GPS it turns out they're even farther due to the roads/routes available. FYI: I am unable to view your address until after you have approved of a request with me. I will apply mileage fees by modifying requests to include them (totaled up) under "extras and upgrades".

Availability
The days I get scheduled at my kennel are fairly inconsistent but I typically work PM shifts on weekdays until 7pm. I work part-time so I'm only at the kennel a few times a week, sometimes working shifts as short as 4 hours, so I have a pretty open and flexible schedule. I usually receive my work schedule a 2-3 weeks in advance. Please reach out to me, I’ll more than likely be available! 🙂
