Compassionate Experienced Pet Lover
Pet care experience
DUE TO HEALTH AND SAFETY CONCERNS WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT ANY DOG OVER 1 (ONE) YEAR OF AGE THAT IS NOT NEUTERED AS WE CARE FOR SENIOR DOGS AND DOGS THAT ARE IMMUNO COMPROMISED WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT ANY DOG ON A RAW DIET WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE With over thirty years of personal experience caring for a variety of pets and Victoria's diploma in Animal Care from Sheridan College and 17 years of caring for pets, we have turned our combined knowledge and passion for animals into serving the pets and families of our local area. We love caring for and connecting with animals and creating everlasting relationships. We provide care for your fur baby as if they were our own, and ensure that they receive the highest quality care while you're away. We only ask that you provide their food (to ensure no upset tummies), leash and harness (if possible), crate (if dog is crate trained) and a favourite toy or blanket, so that they have something to remind them of home and are more comfortable. We provide everything else and if needed do have a small and medium size crate as well as x-pens if you are unable to bring your crate and your dog requires one. We have plenty of experience caring for puppies including working on house training and other basic commands, in anxious or nervous dogs and in caring for senior pets and their needs, including giving medication, We have years of experience in dealing with diabetic dogs and are able to give insulin or other injections and monitor blood sugar levels. We can continue to work on correcting behaviour issues, including jumping on visitors, charging the door, biting while playing and housetraining while a dog is in our care. We have cared for pets with a variety of anxiety issues, medical issues, special needs and dietary restrictions. You can follow us and see all our photos and videos on Instagram or Facebook - just ask us for the details

We have a fenced yard, but we believe dogs need to go on walks to explore and use their nose. We do a wide variety of activities throughout the day, including playing tug of war, fetch and chase and working on basic training. We ensure your pup has plenty of other exercise including indoor playtime with lots of toys and if possible, we also attend the dog park, if staying overnight, for socialization and more outdoor play time. We even have a doggie pool in our backyard to cool off on those hot days, for dogs that like the water. We also believe that dogs need to stimulate their minds as well as having regular exercise. We use puzzle feeders, snuffle mats and even a ball pit and tunnels to encourage and stimulate their minds.

When your pup or kitty is in our home, there are two of us to give them all the love, play time and cuddles they desire. I work from home and Victoria is home all day as well. During school breaks my son is home and enjoys playing and cuddling with all the dogs and will assist when needed. Your furry family member will never be bored with all the toys and activities we do on a daily basis, to not only use their muscles but to stimulate their minds as well. We are constantly adding new toys and activities so there is always something new and exciting happening at From Paws to Claws Family Pet Care
