Updated December 2016. I had taken a year off for medical reasons. My friends call me the crazy dog lady. I volunteer with a couple of dog rescues and transports as well as foster dogs in my home. I live by myself with my dog Daphne and 2 hamsters. My older children visit often. We have a small apartment with a back door that leads out into a large fenced yard. Daphne is a great "hostess" with new friends. She loves to romp and play but also knows that some dogs are older or less energetic than her. I have had dogs all my life and have worked with the rescues for about 4 years now. I also advocate with a couple of groups against BSL and the use of heart sticks and gas chambers in shelters. My home is dog friendly and they are allowed anywhere....couch, bed, etc. I spoil them rotten. Their ability to love unconditionally amazes me and to be greeted at the door with a wagging tail and excitement makes every trouble go away. I have a plaque in my kitchen that reads "My Therapist Has a Wet Nose". I love being a foster because I am able to help a dog get ready for their furever home and help with any issues that they may have. I love dogs of all sizes, breeds, etc. I do not discriminate. I am especially fond of the bully breeds....big ole mushballs! Meet my pets Daphne and 2 hamsters...but they'll be fine :) About my yard I have access to a large fenced yard that I share with the tenant above. I never leave dogs out there alone just for safety reasons. My experience administering medication I am comfortable with administering medication as needed.
