Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Angie, and I have 20 years experience as a dog and cat owner. I also have experience fostering doggies from a shelter, specifically doggies on the euthanasia list who had injuries needing rehabilitation and/or heartworm treatment, or quarantine. And I have experience with pets requiring special diets. Currently I'm a volunteer for a local animal shelter, providing enrichment to doggies, cats, and critters (bunnies, guinea pigs, etc), as well as walking dogs and spending time with them in their kennels, so that they start getting used to interacting with humans. I love animals, and it brings me much joy to spend time with them and make their lives better. Friends and family have also relied on me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets.

I give pets my undivided attention, ensuring they are fed well, litter boxes cleaned, etc. I currently have no pets, since my doggie passed away three years ago, so your pets will be the only ones I'm taking care of at the time. I believe in using positive reinforcement with treats and clickers.

Please let me know if your pet has any special dietary, medical, or behavioral needs I can accommodate. I have also worked with pets with physical restrictions (broken hip, heartworm treatments) and special diets, and can work with you to accommodate those as well.
A typical day
I love to provide enrichment for pets. For sight, I typically blow bubbles for them. For smell, a light spray of lavender. I also like to play with them with their own toys, be it a feather toy for a cat or a ball toy with a doggie. For walks, I prefer early morning and early evening to avoid the valley sun as much as possible, and I stay in the shade as much as possible, preferring grass to asphalt. All of this assuming the owners approve, and the pet is interested. And I give lots of pets and cuddles!

Availability
I currently work Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-2:30pm, and will be available to petsit overnights from Friday afternoons through Monday early mornings, as well as do drop-ins in the afternoons during the workweek. I can also stay overnight during the week, but please know that I will be gone during the day due to work. I am off work in the summers, usually between May 3rd and August 20th, so my availability increases during these months.
