Pet care experience
I've had the joy of managing a busy mall pet store in Dallas so I am experienced and comfortable with most creatures from fur to feathers and while most of my clients are dogs and cats, I am open to offering care for those that slink, slither, and swim as well. Before retiring from several years in corporate insurance, I had the painful job of leaving my babies at the door each morning knowing that the quick lunch let-out visit I was able to squeeze in was never quite enough time for any of us. They (and I) needed more. Now I get to be at home WITH our littlest family members, so someone is almost always with in a whimpers reach. Not everyone has that option, but every pet and parent deserve a life without unnecessary stress and worry. I can help. I turn potty breaks into play dates. My time with your furry heart thief is centered around fulfilling their need for emotional attention and constructive stimulation, the empty bladder and need of a nap is simply a side effect. When you have to be away and the world is dark and lonely, I will hide under the blanket beside them and shoo away the shadow monsters until daylight (and you) return. Let me be your snuggle surrogate. Video and photo updates and emails available upon request at NO additional charge. If your baby isn't house trained, or has any other need to be crated, please provide his/her crate if possible, one is available but their own is better for them. We suggest an bringing an overnight bag or "grandma's backpack" for daycare. This should include favorite toys, blankie, possibly a worn article of clothing with your scent to close the distance between you, a baggie of their favorite approved treats as well as any necessary medical or special dietary items. You would be surprised at how comforting these little things can be to them while they settle in and accept us as new extended family.

Angela watched our cat while we were on vacation. We love our cat but sometimes she can be a little difficult. When Angela met her she was so friendly and loved our cat as her own. Surprisingly, our cat warmed right up to her! She did a great job in taking care of her, feeding her, and even changing her litter box while we were gone. She even brought our mail in when the post office delivered it early so it wasn't obvious we weren't home. It was nice to not have to worry about anything while on vacation. Thank you Angela!
Angela dog sat for our fur baby many weekends and vacations for my husband and I. Not only was she awesome with her and trustworthy, she's a beautiful woman with wonderful wit, humor, and charm! I'm more than happy to give my name as a referral! If you're looking for someone to trust with your fur baby, look no further. Call Angela and do yourself a favor!

Information Angela P. would like to know about your pet
Obviously I need to know any and all medical, emotional, and dietary needs, but going beyond that it is equally important that we are on the same page on important issues such as training and behavior rules you have set so that consistency can be kept allowing us to reduce anxiety and confusion for what can be a stressful transition for everyone. I believe that your feelings and needs are just as important, so let me know what I can do to put your mind at ease so you can work or play knowing that you have made the best decision possible by trusting your baby to my care. In addition to any requested contact or scheduled updates from me, I encourage you to text or call any time, day or night...I'll even put them on the phone to hear your voice. On a more serious note, I will take the time to go over a simple but informative questionnaire that will ensure I know everything about my new friend. Does he show signs of separation anxiety with unusual or undesirable behaviors? Is there any place or way that they don't like to be touched or handled? Sensitive to certain sounds, scents, or situations? Where do they go when they're happy? Sad? Scared? Are they leash trained or a Houdini Wannabee? While I am energetic and love to play, I know my limitations...I am no longer able to safely handle very large, heavy, head strong or untrained dogs with jumping up, fighting, biting or defiant tendencies. I cannot accept any socially aggressive animals in our home as I have and may care for other animals and safety for all is a must, but may make exceptions on an individual basis for care provided in your home.
A typical day
I can play a mean game of roll me tumble and I'm killer fierce at tug with a rope bone...I might even let them win occasionally. However, if your little one is more of a soulful stretcher than a bounding ball chaser, I'm game for a tummy rub (my ribs are a little ticklish) and a quiet afternoon finding scooby snack shapes in the clouds. Seriously...this is THEIR time...bad behaviors disappear with a scratch behind the ear.
