Pet care experience
URGENT: PLEASE HELP! Will take ANY work right now. My dog likely has torn an ACL and needs imaging done by a specialist, and possibly surgery or rehab. 15 years ago, our family dog was 20 years old and dealing with a wide array of health problems. I was her daycare. I have experience with pancreatitis, arthritis, cataracts & blindness, hearing impairment, and many other difficulties that afflict senior dogs. About 7 years ago, I nursed a baby mastiff (still weighed about 100lbs) through two ACL surgeries (done separately). In 2009, we inherited a sweet four year old lab who had spent his entire life outdoors and had to be trained from scratch. He is now a therapy dog, and is *incredibly* helpful, despite having his own health issues. He comes from a long line of working dogs, and *needs* to be busy, though, so he loves his job. My prices are somewhat negotiable. While my time is valuable, I think it's silly to charge per dog, for example (to a point - it's one thing if it's 3 and an entirely different thing if it's 6). I'm very flexible in terms of times and frequency of drop-in visits. If you live reasonably close to me (within 10-15 miles of me) and have a puppy or senior that needs to go out every two hours, I can accommodate that. I'm fine with homemade foods, etc, if you provide the recipe & supplies. And yes, I really can give injections. I have *tons* of experience with it in humans, and some in dogs and cats, too. Just tell me the dosage, and in some cases, where it goes. I do know dog & cat anatomy pretty well, though. I'm VERY experienced with pill shooters (though with dogs, I have always preferred wrapping in something tasty. My dog likes kraft cheese). I'm fine with tooth brushing, and nail/claw trimming if necessary. I don't brush my dog's teeth because he's silly and tries to eat the toothbrush... plus, they're all really too small for his giant teeth anyway... My 5 years experience as a CNA as well as my mental health background (I've also been taking care of my daughter alone, who is disabled for her 14 years) comes in handy in emergencies and in terms of just noticing when something is "off". I'm very observant, and *will* notice if your pet's respiration rate seems slow/fast, if they seem unusually dehydrated, or are otherwise deteriorating in any way. I will always be aware of your animals limits by the way they are acting, and as much as we humans know they try to hide it, I can see it.
Reviews
I have known Angela for 27 years. She has always had pets. She is very loving and caring towards animals. She makes sure each different personality is well taken cared for. She is a very sweet person and I would totally be very comfortable with her taking care of my pets.

Information Angela P. would like to know about your pet
I love all breeds. I like big dogs the best. I'm not sure why. I would want to know pertinent info like allergies and other health information to provide the best care possible, as well as any preferences your dog may have. I didn't know where to include this, but feel it's relevant to say that I'm a healthcare provider for people... I realize that animals have different needs than people, but I do very well in emergency situations, as I handle them all the time.
A typical day
There are many parks around here that I take my dog to (the lab, who is now 13 and solely in my care). My own dog enjoys ferry rides, outings to the beach, and just general rides in my SUV. If your dog likes to get out and play, I'm more than happy. If not, that's OK, too.
