Thank you.*** I’ll be honest…I’ve yet to hire my own Rover sitter. The reason is because I’m very particular and I don’t want just anyone with my pets or in my home. So with every Rover visit, I ask myself, ‘what would I want if these were my pets, or my home?’ I’ve had pets since I was young. I had my first cat when I was an infant and my first dog when I was 4. I’ve had pets ever since. Currently I have two pets of my own, my dog, Ayla, who is 6, and my cat, Belle, who is 3. They are both rescues and rescues are what I’ve always had. Ayla is a special needs dog; she’s intensely afraid of men, and has improved tremendously since I’ve had her. She’s extremely lovable and sweet once she’s comfortable with you. In addition to my own pets, I’ve also cared for friends and family pets on and off throughout my adulthood and have volunteered with The Cat Connection in Waltham. I love all the animals of the kingdom…truly. I have volunteered at a raptor rescue center, and spent the early part of my career teaching environmental conservation to kids of all ages in the Ozarks, and studied songbirds in Alabama. I’m currently self employed, and I am returning to the area after several years. I love doing Rover visits because it helps me break up the day nicely and I can help others with a service that is very needed. Not only am I reliable, responsible, and relatable, I’m also a normal person who can communicate very well with other humans as well as animals. Haha. 😻 One of my favorite quotes that I learned from a mentor is, ‘the things you love, you take care of’. This quite represents my values and if you hire me, know that your pets will be like family to me and will be cared for as I would care for my pets.
