Pet care experience
My boys have all been rescues; innocent victims of abuse and neglect. While it breaks my heart knowing how horribly their lives started out, I am so humbled and grateful that they chose me. I've been trusted with taking care of my friends' and families' pets of all sizes and ages. After my best friend passed away unexpectedly in 2020, I took care of his Belgian Malinois, Demo, who was aggressive and territorial, but he trusted me. I couldn't have loved him any more, so when he was diagnosed with advanced bone cancer at 5 years old, I was devastated. Six weeks later, I held his paw and said goodbye, my sole comfort was knowing he would be with his dad again. I have experience in post-op care after my own dog, Tommy, had complete reconstructive orthopedic surgery on both back legs. He was a difficult patient, and I discovered my patience knows no bounds. Additionally, I've had a great deal of experience working with "bully breeds", aggressive dogs, and large dogs. We have a 145lb German Shepherd who can be unpredictable and won't hesitate to bite if he thinks I'm in danger. My brother is a cop, and I love watching the K9 units train; they're so fun to play with, but they need to have time to change from work mode to play time. I'm very cautious, I can read their body language, and I respect their boundaries. This approach hasn't failed me yet, and I use the same method with every dog I meet. Please know that the care your pets receive is exactly how I take care of my dog, Tommy. Feel free to contact me if there's anything else you would like to know!

Angela was fantastic! Our dog is terribly afraid of thunderstorms so when looking for a sitter I wanted to find someone that would understand that our girl needed some extra love and care during bad weather and that’s exactly what we got with Angela. She was great about sending photos and texts and even cleaned up all the fur tumbleweeds before we came home. We will absolutely use Angela again in the future.
Angela is always so great with our 2 dogs when we are gone. It’s such a nice relief knowing we can trust them to be taken care of ❤️😀
Angela went out of her way to send lots of photos of KJ and keep me updated on she was doing. She made KJ feel very comfortable! Thank you!
Angela is the best, the day after I got back from my trip my dogs were walking around the house looking for her. Ten stars!!!

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a house with two roommates and three dogs. The environment can be stressful for a pet, so I don't offer boarding unless there are extenuating circumstances. House sitting makes up approximately 95% of my bookings, and I love doing it. I think it's one of the best options because keeping your pet in the environment they are used to and keeping them on their regular routine eliminates a lot of stress. The separation from their person(s) can be difficult already, so anything I can do to reduce that anxiety I'm happy to do. I do ask that we schedule a meet and greet first. My schedule is very flexible, so even if it's a last minute thing, I can usually meet you and your furry kids within 24 max. Please know that when I'm house sitting, I am with your pets around the clock; there are times when I need to leave for a few hours to go check on my dog, Tommy. He has a cancerous brain tumor, and I can't go a day without seeing him. As I mentioned above, communication is key. Rest assured that when I am caring for your pets, my main priority is to ensure you return to very happy animals!

Information Angela K. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if there is anything specific you prefer for your pet, ie If they get a certain treat before bed, medication schedule (if applicable, any behaviors I should be aware of that are out of ordinary, etc. As I mentioned, I will have to leave for a few hours each day, but that's something we can discuss during the meet and greet so we're all on the same page.
A typical day
Because I do mostly house sitting, a typical day is whatever your pets are used to; if they eat breakfast after a morning walk, the only deviation might be the route we take for our walk. Stability is something I work very hard to maintain since being away from their person is already hard on them.

In August, my baby Tommy was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. Our vet is absolutely wonderful, and he's always very honest about Tommy's condition. He's a fighter. I wouldn't be working if I thought the worst was right around the corner. He stays with my closest friend when I house sit, but I do need a few hours every day to check on him. I would never leave your pet alone for more than a few hours. It's very important to explain this up front should your pet need assistance 24 hours a day. I keep them on their schedule and never, ever leave them alone overnight. I have been so fortunate to have the most understanding, compassionate owners these past few months. Communication is vital, so please don't hesitate to let me know what you are comfortable with, and we'll work out an arrangement that's best for everyone. If you aren't comfortable with your baby being alone for 3 or 4 hours, I completely understand, and would only leave for a short time. I'm sure this is the world's longest answer, but it's something I have to disclose to every owner to ensure there are no surprises or anything. I work to give Tommy everything he could possibly need or want, and he sure enjoys the finer things in life! He deserves them--every animal does. Thank you in advance for understanding. Update: On November 15th, my sweet Tommy crossed the Rainbow Bridge after a three month long fight with cancer. The days can be a little difficult unless I'm taking care of an animal. My routine is whatever your pet's routine is when I'm taking care of him/her!
