Lifelong pet parent!

Pet care experience

Neighbors call my yard the doggy daycare of the neighborhood! I have one cat and two shepherd mix girls and I care for another dog (their best friend) occasionally during the week. Other dogs come to the yard to play when we are outside and get out their energy! I love training and teaching them new things and am more than happy to reinforce whatever commands/training you are working on with your pups, regardless of age. I have endless patience and time for them and understand that no two dogs are the same and each one needs special attention. My girls Nessie and Cinder are very high energy and if your pup comes for boarding they will leave our house tired from a day full of running around and playing. However, if that isn't their ideal type of day, no problem! I am happy to cater to them and have a more relaxed day away from the craziness. We have a great dog-friendly neighborhood with a few trails very close by and I can take your dog on a solo walk or a group walk-whichever they would be most comfortable with! I also have experience caring for horses, chickens, and many other animals for extended times over the years so if you have other animals as well I am happy to include them for an additional fee.

Angie is the best! Lily is so excited when she walks through the door and was genuinely upset today I took her for a walk instead of Angie.

I have a large home and a fenced-in yard that easily contains the dogs in my care. My animals are friendly to other dogs, though they need a few minutes to get used to them. I require a meet and greet for all boarding/daycare and that will consist of a short walk on my street first, and then letting them loose in the yard. My dogs play very rough and Nessie is dominant to other dogs but not aggressive, Cinder is still a puppy and just wants to play and be goofy. I have never had a dog that is not accepted after the initial meet and greet. As I said above-if your dog isn't high energy it's okay! There's plenty of room here for them to have their own space while still being with all of us. For overnight boarding, we can accommodate whatever sleeping situation your pup is most comfortable with be it free roam (as long as they are house-trained and can be trusted not to chew things) or in the crate. I have an extra large crate, or bring your own, I find they typically would like that better as the smells are familiar in their own crate. I also have multiple large pet beds throughout the house that they are welcome to use as well as toys scattered everywhere, thanks to Cinder who takes offense when I put them away in the toy bins haha

Information Angela A. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if your dog is reactive to anything beforehand (it’s not a problem-I just need to know) or if there is any training you are working on that you would like me to reinforce during my time with them.

A typical day

On a typical day, I walk my dogs right after work. We also spend a lot of time in our yard playing. I love playing with dogs and doing whatever types of things they want to do! If they want a slow sniff walk, I’m in! A short walk then lots of playtime, sign me up! As I said above, my dogs play very rough but they love it! it really tires them out and keeps them active. At the end of the day, they are more than ready for bedtime. We have some very nice trails around the house that we love to take the dogs to and will include your dog as well.
