I enjoy taking care of pets in my spare time. I grew up with dogs, and regularly watch family and friend's pets, ranging from cats, fish, and dogs of all ages.

Andy was great!! He stayed with our dog and cat for five days while we were out of town. Not only did he take great care of our animals, but he made sure the garden was watered and kept the house spotless!
Andy has stayed at my house and looked after my dog and cat on multiple occasions for up to a week at time. My dog is naturally an anxious boy with some quirks, but he LOVES Andy. Andy is great about understanding his special circumstances, medication management included. I would recommend Andy to anyone looking for a loving, trustworthy person to care for their furry family members - it is so hard to find someone like him!
For four years Andy took care of our Goldendoodle Fred and stayed at our house whenever my husband and I were out of town. Andy is responsible, trustworthy, caring, fun and always up for an adventure. When Andy moved out of state it was a sad day for Fred and for us. I could not recommend Andy more!

I prefer to take care of pets in their own homes, as my building does not allow pets. I am just getting started on Rover, but I have been pet sitting for a long time before living in Portland and can provide references as needed.

I have mostly taken care of medium to larger dogs, but also have experience with small dogs and cats as well as a range of activity levels from puppies that need lots of stimulation, to lazy old dogs that just need a companion.
A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs on walks and going to off leash parks if permitted in the afternoons after work. Playing with dogs is one of my favorite things so I'll gladly follow whatever routine they have; keeping dogs in their routine is the most important thing while you're away!

Availability
I'm work remotely and work Central Time hours, so I am up early and shut my laptop at 3 pm. That gives me ample time to give animals care and attention throughout the day, and am also available on weekends or long stays while you are on vacation.
