[WFH] Pawsitively Purrfect Pet Care

Pet care experience

Both my wife and I work from home, so we can provide frequent attention/breaks as necessary. Your pet will always have a companion! Also, unlike other sitters, I do not own pets of my own nor will I board/attend to another pet other than yours during your stay.

This was our first time boarding our dog through Rover, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Andrew! Our dog felt completely at home at his place, which gave us such peace of mind while we were out of town. Andrew sent detailed daily updates, along with plenty of photos, which we really appreciated. He was also very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the entire stay. We would absolutely board our dog with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable sitter.

Andrew handled my dog amazingly. My dog is typically pretty hard to work with if you don’t know him and he took on the challenge and executed perfectly, way better than I expected anyone else to be able to handle my dog. I would highly recommend booking Andrew for any kind of visit he offers because I know he will go above and beyond. His service was greatly appreciated and I will be booking him in the future when he is available. Phenomenal service. 6/5 stars if I could.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Andrew as a dog boarder. Communication was smooth and easy from the start, and he was super flexible with pick-up and drop-off—which made everything that much less stressful. Each day, he sent me thoughtful updates and photos that showed my pup out on fun walks and enjoying plenty of playtime. It honestly felt like my dog became part of Andrew and his wife’s family for the week. Knowing he was in such caring and attentive hands gave me total peace of mind. I’ll definitely be booking with them again!

Dog's Routine: Tell me about your dog's daily routine, including feeding times, exercise routines, and any specific habits or preferences. Sticking to their regular schedule can help reduce stress and anxiety. Health and Medical Needs: Make me aware of any medical conditions the dog may have, such as allergies, medications, or special dietary requirements. It's important to know the contact information for the dog's veterinarian in case of emergencies. Behavior and Training: Help me understand the dog's behavior and any specific training commands they respond to. Are there any behavioral issues or triggers I should be aware of? Knowing how to handle these situations is crucial for safety. Feeding Instructions: This includes portion sizes and dietary restrictions. Inform me of food allergies or sensitivities. Exercise Needs: Let me know of your dog's exercise requirements. If they need long walks or frequent playtime, let me know so I can plan my schedule accordingly to provide ample physical activity. Comfort Items: Does your dog have any favorite toys, blankets, or comfort items that make them feel at ease? If so, having these items on hand can help reduce stress. House Rules: Is your dog allowed on furniture? Are there any restricted areas in the home? I do my best to mimic what your dog is used to. Emergency Plan: Let's make sure we have a plan for handling emergencies, including medical emergencies, lost dogs, or other unforeseen situations.

A typical day

Here are some fun activities I love to do with dogs and some special places for walks: Interactive Playtime: Engaging dogs in interactive play is essential for their physical and mental well-being. Activities like fetch, tug-of-war, and hide-and-seek can be a lot of fun. I often use toys like frisbees, tennis balls, and puzzle toys to keep them entertained. Nature Walks: Taking dogs for walks in natural settings like parks, forests, or along scenic trails can be incredibly stimulating for them. The new sights, sounds, and smells provide mental enrichment and exercise. Dog Parks: If your dog is well-socialized and enjoys interacting with other dogs, a visit to a local dog park can be a fantastic outing. It allows them to run freely, play with other dogs, and burn off excess energy. Training Sessions: Incorporating short training sessions during your time with your dog can be both fun and mentally stimulating. I'd love to teach them new tricks, work on basic obedience, or practice agility exercises. Water Fun: If the weather allows, some dogs love water activities. If your dog fits this, taking them to a dog-friendly beach or letting them splash around in a shallow stream or kiddie pool can be a refreshing adventure. Quiet Time: It's also important to provide dogs with some downtime. After all the activities, they may appreciate some relaxing moments, whether it's cuddling on the couch, enjoying a belly rub, or just lying in the sun. Customized Activities: I tailor the activities to the dog's preferences and energy level. Some dogs may prefer a leisurely stroll, while others thrive on more active adventures. By offering a variety of fun and engaging activities, I can ensure that your dog(s) will have a memorable and enjoyable time!
