Pet care experience
I chose a kitten from a litter at age 2. Zanzaboo was the name I gave him from a book my grandma always read to me. That cat passed when I was a senior in college. Pets have always been a part of my life. They are family. Scooby, 13 yo mix, has been with me for 11 years. Pepper, 8 yo mini-Australian Healer, is my loyal shadow. A year ago we moved to an apartment and became regulars at dog parks. I see the challenges folks have finding affordable, caring support. I decided to help by joining Rover!

Andrew was very sweet with my dog, she loved him when they met! He sent very detailed messages of his time with her. He is obviously a dog lover and super observant! Will request him again in the future for sure!
My dogs love Andy. He has always treats my dogs well, and even keeps me updated with text messages and pictures because he knows I appreciate it. I highly recommend him.
I met Andy at our apartment dog park. One thing was abundantly apparent, he loves his fur babies! His two dogs are the happiest I've ever seen. Most people would want the kind of life he provides his dogs. All the other dogs get along with his pair. His love for dogs is evident by how he interacts with all dogs at the park. We have joined him out at restaurants with our dog. We routinely coordinate schedules so our dog can interact with Andy and his pets. He would be an excellent addition to the Rover team.

I have never let anyone except my brother watch my dogs. My pets are all I have. I take the responsibility extremely seriously because I know what my dogs mean to me. You pets deserve the best, safest care - just like I provide for mine.
Information Andrew W. would like to know about your pet
My oldest dog is 13. Depending on how he’s feeling he may need more help from me. I have to adapt my volume because he can’t hear well. When walking around uneven surfaces I have to shorten his lease and slow down to help him navigate. His eyes are not as good as they used to be. My first cat, Zanzaboo, needed to be spoon fed when he got older. He was so old he would get ‘lost’ from time to time inside the house. He would meow loudly until you came and brought him back to where you were. Most times he was just napping in another room and woke up totally forgetting where he was.
A typical day
My two dogs are VERY different. One likes to sit with me and take in the lake views. The other likes to lead and survey areas. He likes to kick up leaves and explore areas. I lie to get to know the pet and the owner. I am happy to provide any preferred experiences.
